I live in a pretty small house. How small? I’m especially sensitive to the lack of storage space for tools and household supplies, which tend to be bulky (and accumulate over time when you buy tools for specific needs). For example, I borrowed my brother’s shop vac for a long time because I simply had nowhere to store it when I wasn’t using it. A wet/dry vacuum is incredibly handy when tackling projects around the house (or dealing with a recurring flooded crawlspace), so I was thrilled to find this cordless vacuum from DeWalt —it’s currently marked down to $163 (originally $200) as part of Prime Day in October.

What I love about this vacuum is its compact size: it can be hidden almost anywhere, and it’s light enough to fit on any available shelf. The combination of its light weight (just 3.6 kg) and battery power means it’s super easy to take with you literally anywhere, including my basement, which is only accessible through a tiny, awkward hole literally cut into the floor of a closet. If you don’t have the DeWalt charger and battery, you can simply plug it into a wall outlet—it’s a little less convenient, but still very convenient.
