The Best Early Prime Deals on Fitness Trackers and Smartwatches

Amazon Big Deal Days is running from October 7th to 8th, and before it ends, Lifehacker will be sharing the best sales based on product reviews, comparisons, and price tracking tools.

The October Prime sales have already begun, including discounts on fitness trackers and smartwatches. Some of the newest Garmin watches are available for the first time, including the Vivoactive 6 and Venu X1. You can also find discounts on Fitbit and some older Apple and Samsung watches. Here’s what I found.

Garmin

The Vivoactive 6 is on sale for what I believe is the first time ever—just $249.99, a $249.99 reduction from the original price of $299.99. The Vivoactive line is Garmin’s most underrated line : it’s a great everyday fitness watch with accurate GPS and a heart rate monitor, as you’d expect from Garmin. It also features guided walking workouts, a smart alarm, and accessibility features.

The Venu X1 is also selling at a rare price: $699.99 down from its original price of $799.99. This new smartwatch is Garmin’s answer to the Apple Watch Ultra: a large rectangular display, sapphire crystal glass, and built-in maps for navigation. Unlike Apple’s, it features an LED flashlight and a battery life of up to eight days.

Among older Garmin watches, the Venu Sq 2 , released in 2022, is on sale for $149.99, down from its original price of $249.99. (It originally retailed for $299.99.) It’s a great budget option for an everyday fitness watch, especially if you like the square screen format.

Apple

The GPS-only Apple Watch SE costs $179.99, up from $249.99. This is the second-generation SE, released in 2022. It’s a great budget option if you don’t want to spend the money on a newer or more expensive Apple Watch.

The Apple Watch Series 10 is also on sale: the GPS-only version starts at $329.99, down from $399.99. This is last year’s mid-range Apple Watch, which our editor Michelle Ehrhardt called the best Apple Watch for most people . This year’s Series 11 is only a minor upgrade . Opting for the Series 10 only means you’ll lose out on the more durable glass, a 5G modem, and slightly improved battery life. If you don’t need these extra features, the Series 10 is worth considering.

Samsung

The Galaxy Watch 7 is currently on sale starting at $199.99, down from $249.99. It’s a bit older, having been replaced by the Galaxy Watch 8 this year, but it’s still a solid choice for an Android smartwatch. The $199.99 price is for the smaller, Bluetooth-only model, but both sizes and both Bluetooth and LTE connectivity options are discounted by about $50.

The Titanium Gray Galaxy Watch Ultra (released this year) is now priced at $599.99, down from $649.99. Other colors appear to still be available at full price.

Fitbit

Fitbit’s best basic fitness tracker, the Charge 6 , is now on sale for $119.95, down from its previous price of $159.95. I like the Charge 6 as a practical tracker, great for those who just want to track steps and activity without having to think about it too much. (However, if you want a larger screen or more features, consider the Garmins I mentioned above.) I have a review of the Charge 6 if you’d like to learn more.

The Inspire 3 is also priced at $79.95 instead of $99.95. It lacks its own GPS module, and the screen is smaller. The smartwatch-style Sense 2 is $199.95 instead of $249.95. The Versa 4 is $149.95 instead of $199.95.
