How to Set up Alexa Wishlist Alerts for Prime Day

Amazon’s October Prime Day sale starts on October 7 , but tracking the best discounts and finding the best deals can be challenging. Alternatively, you can set Alexa to notify you about discounts on items you already want to buy, saving you time searching.
Amazon Prime subscribers in the US who also own Echo smart speakers can turn on notifications about deals 24 hours in advance and even ask Alexa to shop for them. Here’s how.
How to set up Alexa deal alerts
First, open the Amazon Shopping app or go to the Amazon website in your browser and add the items you want to receive alerts about to your wish list , shopping cart, or saved for later list.
Next, open the Alexa mobile app and go to “More” > “Settings” > “Notifications” > “Amazon Shopping” and enable “Deal Recommendations” under “Shopping Recommendations.” This ensures you’ll receive notifications about products that appear in your purchase history.
If Alexa detects an upcoming sale on something in your Saved for Later, wishlist, or shopping cart, you’ll see a pop-up notification on your Echo Show display or a yellow indicator light on your Echo speaker. You can also ask, “Alexa, what notifications do I have?” to hear a list of current deals.
Alexa can track deals up to 24 hours in advance, so you can ask her to remind you about them again when they go live or ask you to buy the item when the offer becomes available. Just say, “Alexa, buy this for me,” and she’ll charge your default payment and ship the item to the default shipping address on your account.
