Early Prime Day sales have begun, with many Amazon devices, including Kindle e-readers , on sale at record low prices leading up to October’s Prime Day . One such deal is the Amazon Echo Frames + Echo Spot bundle , which is now on sale for $119.99 (originally $229.99). This is the lowest price ever, according to price tracking tools .
The third-generation Echo Frames are the latest innovation, released this summer. They work like open-back headphones, allowing you to hear the world around you as the frames themselves direct sound directly into your ears. This can be both a plus and a minus, depending on your intended use. If you want to focus on media in a noisy environment, like a crowded cafe, they may not be the best option. But if you’re in a more controlled environment, like an office or home, being able to hear your conversation partner is essential.
The bundle also includes the Echo Spot , which is normally $79.99 and is the latest smart speaker with Alexa built-in, as well as the Echo Frames, which are normally $269.99, so being able to get both of these products for $119.99 is a real steal.
The Echo Frames feel like regular glasses (or sunglasses ). Their main strengths include an excellent microphone and balanced mids and highs, according to a PCMag review. However, it’s worth noting that, like most open-back headphones, the bass is very weak.
If desired, you can wear them during training, as they are water- and sweat-resistant. Please note that this price does not include the cost of prescription lenses. However, you can purchase a ready-to-wear configuration with lenses to be replaced by your eye doctor.
