If you’re looking for a security camera that works where Wi-Fi isn’t available, consider the Eufy Security 4G LTE Cam S330 . It’s currently on sale for $161.49, down from its regular price of $249.99 on Amazon.
Like other models in Eufy’s Solocam line, this camera doesn’t require a subscription fee , unlike many competitors. Instead, you can save videos locally to the included microSD card or, if using the camera over Wi-Fi, connect it to the Eufy HomeBase S380 for local storage. This makes the S330 an excellent choice if you want full functionality without additional monthly fees. Eufy includes an EIOT SIM card and 100GB of data for testing 4G features.
The S330 builds on the wireless S340 with the same dual lens setup—a wide-angle macro lens paired with a close-up lens. This combination allows for wide-angle coverage while maintaining close-up detail. Eufy claims its 4K resolution allows it to capture a license plate from 30 feet away, and in practice, the micro lens delivers astounding detail. This means you can capture more than just the shape of a car or a blurry face; you’ll get a sharp, usable image. The solar panel charges the 9,400mAh battery and can be mounted directly on the camera or up to 10 feet away, giving you flexibility in placement. Even in cloudy weather, users report that the panel keeps the camera running smoothly. The device is weather-resistant enough for year-round outdoor use, and the rotating base supports 360-degree viewing with AI tracking to keep track of people or vehicles in the frame.
However, there are tradeoffs. LTE mode offers true network freedom, but live viewing is reportedly noticeably slower than Wi-Fi, and the allocated 100GB data limit is quickly used up. Switching the camera from LTE back to Wi-Fi may also require more effort than expected. Nevertheless, flexibility is the main advantage: you can install the camera at the edge of a property, along a long driveway, or anywhere out of reach of an outlet and router.
