It’s marketed as a versatile cleaning device : it vacuums, mops floors, empties the trash can, and washes and dries mop heads. On paper, it’s a dream: place it in a corner, set a schedule, and let it handle the essentials while you do other things.
In practice, the X10 Pro Omni delivers impressive results, but not always. Navigation is excellent, especially in complex spaces where many robots get stuck or spin around. It adheres well to walls and edges, even using the special mop function that allows cleaning close to walls (something most robots leave untouched). The dual mop heads also vibrate as they move, improving dirt pickup over multiple passes. Carpets and pet hair are also not a big problem, as long as the roller brush is clean.
Problems arise when dealing with large amounts of junk and recovering from errors. If something minor gets into the system, it can trigger a cycle of alerts and failed restart attempts. This Lifehacker review notes that instead of quickly recovering, the system sometimes devolves into recurring errors requiring manual intervention.

But if you have children who drop food or floors prone to accumulating large debris, this model could be a real test of your patience.
