Samsung’s new budget Galaxy Buds 3 FE earbuds are the latest addition to the Galaxy Buds 3 series. Despite being released this month, they’re already proving to be quite popular. You can get them with a free SmartTag2 tracker for $149.99 (originally priced at $179.98). At the company’s latest Galaxy Event, the Buds 3 FE was joined by three other devices : the Galaxy Tab S11 , Galaxy Tab S10 Lite , and Galaxy S25 FE , all of which are eligible for similar deals.
The Samsung FE series stands for Fan Edition and is a budget version of the devices similar to the Pixel A series. The design is sleek and retains the signature style of the previous models. The earbuds can be used to control media by pinching and swiping. You can run outdoors with them without worrying about sweat and rain, as the earbuds have an IP54 rating (water and dust resistance).
On the audio front, it’s nice to see that Samsung isn’t skimping on the “budget” earbuds, offering 24-bit audio support for Hi-Fi audio. The earbuds also feature active noise cancellation (ANC), which Samsung says is an improvement over the previous generation. New features include Samsung’s Crystal Clear Call, which uses AI to isolate your voice during calls. The microphones are also now aimed toward your mouth, which should improve overall call quality.
If you have a Pixel, Samsung, or compatible phone, you can take advantage of Gemini or Galaxy’s AI support, which enables real-time translation: When someone speaks to you in another language, you hear the translation in the earbuds. The earbuds also support automatic switching and location tracking, among other features. Battery life is excellent: eight hours with noise cancellation off (six hours with noise cancellation on) is the longest in the Galaxy Buds series.
