Here’s When (and How) You Can Pre-Order the IPhone 17

If you watched or followed news about Apple’s “Awe Dropping” event , you know there are four new iPhones on the way: iPhone 17, iPhone Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max.
While iPhone updates have become a bit boring in recent years, the 17 series actually breaks the mold a bit: The iPhone 17 now comes with previously “Pro”-exclusive features like a high-refresh-rate variable display; the iPhone Air is the company’s thinnest iPhone ever; and both the Air and iPhone 17 Pro now have a camera “plateau” that houses their respective lenses, though the Air only has one.
People aren’t lining up for the new iPhones like they used to, but that doesn’t mean they’re always easy to buy. All four new iPhones will go on sale on September 19. However, if you want to make sure you have a good chance of getting a new iPhone on the first day of sales, it’s worth pre-ordering.
When can I buy iPhone 17?
Pre-orders begin Friday, September 12, at 8 a.m. ET (5 a.m. PT). You’ll be able to pre-order any of the new iPhones from most carriers, including AT&T, Boost Mobile, T-Mobile, and Verizon, as well as directly from Apple. However, if you choose the latter option, you’ll want to take advantage of Apple’s Early Pre-Order feature , which allows you to get pre-approved, confirm your trade-in, and set up your iPhone before pre-orders begin. This can save you time on Friday morning and improve your chances of pre-ordering your iPhone of choice. Apple is only offering this service until 9 p.m. PT (or midnight ET) tonight.
Still, there are plenty of ways to pre-order an iPhone tomorrow. Each carrier has its own special offers, which vary depending on the iPhone you choose (including how much storage), your trade-in, and the plan or carrier offer you choose. Just look at the fine print at the bottom of Apple’s sales page to see how complicated these offers can be. Even if you choose to pre-order through Apple, you can still take advantage of the carrier offers you’ll see on each iPhone’s sales page.
Below, I’ve collected links to every carrier offering iPhone 17 pre-orders, including a simplified version of each company’s offerings. Some carriers already have active pre-order pages you can browse, while others just have landing pages with information about each phone. By Friday morning, however, pre-order pages will be live for all carriers.
