The MacBook Air is generally considered the best MacBook for most Apple users. It offers incredible value for the money in a thin and light package. What’s more, the newly released version with the M4 chip, while very powerful, offers even better value for the money than the MacBook Pro , according to senior tech editor Jake Peterson.
And that’s before you factor in Amazon’s Labor Day sale, which is discounting the base model MacBook Air M4 for $200 off. You can get a brand new 13-inch model with 16GB of unified memory and a 256GB SSD for just $799, down from its $999 list price. That’s the lowest price I’ve ever seen for a MacBook Air; the previous low was $150 .
Right now, the M4 is an incredible deal, matched only by the M1 MacBook Air , which is down to $599 .
Although it is an entry-level MacBook, it is equipped with everything you need to perform most tasks in school and at work. Moreover, thanks to the increased amount of RAM, it is also capable of processing video and programming code in resource-intensive applications. All this thanks to the 10-core processor and 8-core graphics card.
The smartphone features a 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display with a resolution of 2560 x 1664 pixels, a wide P3 color gamut, and a maximum brightness of 500 nits. In addition, it supports Touch ID, an excellent backlit keyboard, Wi-Fi 6E, and excellent speakers. The smartphone also supports MagSafe charging. The smartphone is available in a new color “sky blue”, which is also discounted.
The camera on this model has also been upgraded, with a 12-megapixel sensor featuring Center Stage. It’s a Full HD sensor, so your video calls will look better than ever. The base MacBook Air received a 4-star rating in PCMag’s expert review, which noted, “An upgrade to the Apple M4 processor, more base memory, and a lower price put the MacBook Air in a class of its own.”
