Samsung Odyssey G9 Ultrawide Monitors Sell at Lowest Prices Ever for Labor Day

Ultrawide monitors are a great balance between the large screen area of two monitors and the ease of use of one. Samsung’s Odyssey G9 series is one of the best of its kind. This Labor Day, both the OLED and VA LCD versions are on sale at their lowest prices ever.
So, here’s the Odyssey G9 OLED , which features a QD-OLED panel for perfect black levels and high contrast, a 5120×1440 resolution (equivalent to two 1440p monitors side by side), and a 240Hz refresh rate, making it a great choice for gaming. In my experience, like in Overwatch 2 , ultrawide monitors are actually more beneficial for peripheral vision. The 1800R curvature brings the edges of the display closer to you without overwhelming it.
The OLED model is now on sale for $900 instead of the usual $1,600. This isn’t the first sale, but it’s only the second time I’ve seen it at such a low price.
Next up is the Odyssey G9 LCD version . This model is pretty much the same as the previous one, with the same ultrawide 49-inch display, 5120×1440 resolution, and 240Hz refresh rate for smooth gaming. The most noticeable difference is the LCD panel, which doesn’t deliver the same perfect black levels as OLED, but it’s also significantly cheaper.
Another key difference is the curvature. At 1000R, this monitor is significantly more curved than the OLED version. Whether that’s a good thing or not is subjective, but it does mean that the sides of the monitor are even closer to you. Depending on how you use it, this may mean less strain on your eyes when looking at the sides of the monitor, but some people may find it a little uncomfortable.
The LCD version has been reduced from its usual $1,000 to $700. This is the first time I’ve seen this monitor go that cheap, so now is the time to buy one.
