I use the Pixel Watch 3 every day, and it’s one of the best smartwatches I’ve ever owned. Of course, I’m eagerly awaiting the new Pixel Watch 4 that Google just announced , but I think last year’s model is still good enough for me. And now that it’s on sale for Labor Day — it’s now $250, down from $350 — it might be worth it to you, too.

The Pixel Watch 3’s battery lasts all day (and sometimes more), which was my biggest gripe with previous smartwatches. Heart rate tracking is accurate, and you can keep an eye on your current heart rate just by looking at the watch’s display.

Since Gemini support finally arrived on the Pixel Watch, the voice assistant has gotten a lot smarter. Previously, I had to carefully issue commands using precise wording, but now I can reply to messages, set reminders, or look up basic information right on the watch without getting confused as easily. It’s still no replacement for a smartphone, but it’s much more convenient than before.

What do you think at the moment?

The Pixel Watch 3 is priced at $250, according to price tracking services , making it its lowest price ever. While it’s hard to say whether it’ll drop significantly once the Pixel Watch 4 launches on October 9, it’ll definitely be cheaper than the new model for a while. So if you’re not sold on the new model’s domed display or side-mounted charger, this watch will do most of the same things as the previous model, but at a fraction of the price.
