The iPad is a popular discounted item during major sales, and you can often find discounts on it that retailers likely won’t offer on other Apple products (like the iPhone). Labor Day is no exception. Every Apple iPad model is on sale right now, from the tiny iPad Mini to the OLED iPad Pro. If you’re planning on upgrading (I am), now is the time to do it.

All of the models listed above are Apple’s newest models, with the cheapest iPad starting at $300. If you’re only planning on browsing the web, watching videos, reading, or playing light games, this should be enough: The A16 processor is a bit dated, but it’s on par with the iPhone 14 Pro.

For an extra $100, you can upgrade to the iPad Mini , which means a smaller screen (from 11 inches on the base iPad to 8.3 inches on the Mini) but more portability. It also has the A17 Pro chip, the same one found in the iPhone 15 Pro. It will also enable Apple Intelligence, so if you care about AI, the $400 price tag may be worth it.

What do you think at the moment?

As for upgrades that don’t shrink the screen, you have two options. There’s the thin and light iPad Air, which has a MacBook-level M3 chip. It’s a generation behind Apple’s laptops, but still powerful enough for demanding apps. There are also two size options in this segment: 11-inch and 13-inch . Prices currently start at $600, which gets you an 11-inch iPad Air with 128GB of storage.

Finally, Apple’s most premium iPad is the iPad Pro. It’s powered by the same M4 chip as the current generation of MacBooks, and in a first for the company’s tablets, it has an OLED display. This makes for a vibrant picture, and funnily enough, it’s also Apple’s thinnest iPad yet (despite the updates), actually beating out the Air. Like the Air, it’s available in 11-inch and 13-inch models , with the cheapest currently being the 11-inch version with 256GB of storage, starting at $896.31.
