These JBL SoundGear Headphones Are Now on Sale for Just $75

If you’re looking for open-back headphones that let you hear the world around you without sacrificing audio quality, check out the JBL SoundGear Sense. They’re currently on sale for just $74.99 on StackSocial . They’re refurbished and “Grade A,” so you’re getting like-new headphones for a pretty big discount. These aren’t your typical noise-isolating over-ear headphones: They fit outside your ears, are secured with adjustable arms, and come with an extra neckband for added stability as you move.

The open design means you can still hear your surroundings, making them ideal for running, cycling, or any situation where alertness is important. It also means you don’t get chest-pounding bass — the lows are present but not deep, and they tend to fade as you crank up the volume, according to this PCMag review . Still, the sound is clear and punchy thanks to the 16.2mm drivers, and the four built-in microphones make for surprisingly clear calls, even in windy conditions. The touch controls mostly work fine, although they’re reportedly too easy to accidentally trigger. You can adjust their sensitivity and EQ using the My JBL Headphones app, which adds some nice customization.

What do you think at the moment?

Battery life is impressive, with a single charge lasting around six hours, plus another 18 hours from the case. A 15-minute quick charge adds another four hours, which is handy if you’re rushing out the door. The earbuds are also IP54 rated, meaning they’ll withstand sweat and the occasional splash. Note: There’s no active noise cancellation, but that’s by design. These are designed for uninterrupted listening. If you’re okay with the tradeoff between isolation and sensitivity, and you like earbuds that don’t cover your ears, the SoundGear Sense are a great, affordable choice, especially at this price .
