My Favorite Portable Projector Is Now on Sale for $170

I’ve tested portable projectors for a variety of purposes, but few, if any, come close to the complete package offered by the XGIMI MoGo 3 Pro. It’s my favorite of the bunch, and right now you can get a great bundle of the XGIMI MoGo 3 Pro portable projector with the PowerBase Stand (which you really need) and carrying case for just $399, down from $569.98. If you don’t have the projector, you can buy it instead of the case for just $69. Whichever you choose, you’ll be getting an all-time low price, according to price tracker .
The projector has two ports – USB and micro HDMI – so you can project from your laptop or phone, or simply mirror your devices’ screens, since it runs on Google TV OS. Plus, since it’s a smart projector, it comes with standard apps like Netflix, YouTube, Amazon, and more can be downloaded from Google Play. With 450 lumens of brightness and a 1080p resolution, it’s best suited for use in dark rooms, but you can get by with a little ambient light (that’s how I use it in my backyard).
What makes this projector really good is its automatic keystone correction feature. No matter where you place it, it will automatically correct the keystone distortion to give you the best picture quality. It is very user-friendly and easy to move around. It also has a powerful 5-watt Harman Kardon speaker that is about as good as the Echo Dot in terms of sound quality.
One caveat: This projector doesn’t have a built-in battery, which is a shame. You’ll have to use a portable charger , plug it into a wall outlet, or if you buy it with the PowerBase Stand , which I highly recommend, it gives you 2.5 hours of battery life and makes it truly portable. If you plan to use it mostly indoors, you might want to plug it into a wall outlet and buy just the projector for $337 to save money.
