The Difference Between TikTok’s New Pwerking, Bwerking, and Dwerking Dances

Whether it’s WAP , Wednesday , or The Box , TikTok has always been known for its dancing, and three new steps are gaining popularity on the platform: doorking, pwerking, and bwerking.

As you might have guessed, these new moves are variations of twerk. According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, twerk is “a sexually suggestive dance characterized by rapid, repeated thrusting of the hips and shaking of the buttocks, especially when squatting.” Apparently, twerk was invented by @mojothewzzrd . It’s a male variation of twerk, so it’s “a sexually suggestive dance characterized by rapid, repeated thrusting of the hips and shaking of (SLANG FOR THE MALE GENITALS).” Here’s a video of him to illustrate:

Soon, pwerking appeared, that is, “shaking the letter “P”, which is performed as follows:

Finally, the “B” in ” bwerking ” stands for “boobs.”

The words may be new, but the trend is part of a long tradition of young people thinking they invented everything. Older people know that freaking has always been in fashion. Hip swivels, whatever you call them, have always been a dance move (and will drive you crazy ) , and people have been bwerking for at least a hundred years, but they used to call it “ the Shimmy.”
