After Discovering Poshmark’s Hidden ‘bulk Action’ Tools, I’m Reconsidering My $30 PrimeLister Subscription

I love flipping my stuff on Poshmark almost as much as I love shopping on the marketplace — I’ve been buying there for a decade now, and using it to sell off my old stuff for about two years. But just because I’ve been doing it for a while doesn’t mean I know everything there is to know. I’m always finding new ways to maximize my income while minimizing my effort . Case in point: A few weeks ago, I wrote about PrimeLister , a third-party app that automates many of the more tedious parts of selling on Poshmark. While I still use it, I’m seriously reconsidering the $30-per-month subscription fee after discovering that a generous handful of PrimeLister’s paid features are actually available within Poshmark itself — for free. They’re just a little tricky to find and use.

Here’s how Poshmark’s “bulk action” tools helped me level up as a reseller, and they can help you, too.

Benefits of Using Bulk Actions on Poshmark

I’ve successfully flipped enough items to earn the “Poshmark Ambassador” designation. This essentially entitles me to a badge on my seller profile that lets people know I’m trustworthy and ship items that buyers love. However, only some of the requirements for earning the badge are related to what I sell. Others are based on factors like how many other sellers’ items I’ve shared with my followers and how many of my own items I’ve featured in different sections of the app.

However, all of this posting takes time — you have to open each listing and manually hit the share button, which is a lot of work if you want to share 10,000 listings that boost your status. Last spring, I started using PrimeLister to automate this entire process and save myself a lot of tedious effort. I also used it to automatically send offers to people who had previously liked my listings: the app would offer a 10% discount every time someone liked an item, or I could make a bulk offer (like 30% off everything) that would notify people who liked any of those items.

I used PrimeLister regularly, and it definitely increased my sales, and it also helped me earn the Posh Ambassador badge. I learned that bulk actions are the way to go. But you don’t have to pay for the privilege — Poshmark has free bulk actions tools that anyone can use.

How to Manage Bulk Actions in the Poshmark App for Free

At first, I didn’t think much of doing all of these tasks directly in Poshmark, since it seemed like the only way to share my listings was to do it one at a time. PrimeLister’s $30 monthly fee seemed like a small price to pay, since the service automatically posted my listings, other people’s listings, and even my items to themed “Posh Parties” (scheduled events that create a landing page where you can post anything you’re selling that fits the theme).

But recently, while I was having lunch, I was poking around in the Poshmark app and noticed a button I’d never seen before. Tapping it really changed everything for me as a seller: I discovered that you can bulk order for free in the Poshmark app.

First, here’s how to find that elusive button: Tap your profile in the bottom right corner of the screen. Then select “My Closet” and look for the “Tools” icon in the top right corner (it looks like a wrench and a ruler). That’s where group actions are located.

From this menu, you can access your Promoted Wardrobe (if you pay to promote your listings), communicate directly with people who have liked your listings or who have already purchased from you, share your listings in bulk with your followers, make offers to people who have liked your products, and share relevant listings on Posh Shows (QVC-style broadcasts you can host yourself).

Comparing Poshmark and PrimeLister’s Free Bulk Actions

Some of the actions you can perform in Poshmark’s Tools menu mirror the services offered by PrimeLister, but both also have a number of unique features.

Pros and cons of each option to keep in mind

On PrimeLister, I have it set up so that if, say, there’s a Posh Party happening at 11am featuring activewear, all of my Nike, Adidas, Set Active, and Gymshark listings will automatically be posted to it, without me having to do anything — PrimeLister takes care of everything. Most of the time, I don’t even realize there’s a Posh Party going on; the app just shares my relevant listings with it. While I can share relevant listings to Posh Parties using the tools menu on Poshmark itself, I still have to do it manually by clicking Share to [name of] Posh Party and then selecting the items I want to share from the list of relevant listings. I prefer the automatic posting of Posh Parties to PrimeLister, since I can’t check in every hour to see if the party is happening.

If you want to become a Posh Ambassador, you may still have to rely on PrimeLister, since it’s impossible to get those 5,000 shares from other users’ storefronts using bulk action tools. You can share all of your listings and reach the required 5,000 shares minimum, but you’ll still have to manage shares from other closets yourself. (Though, to be fair, you can reach that minimum during PrimeLister’s free week-long trial — I did.)

While Poshmark can’t automatically send offers to likers like PrimeLister, there’s something cooler in the tools menu: the My Buyers tab. There, you can see everyone who’s liked a listing, add their liked listings to a bundle, and send them private messages. You can send bulk offers on bundles that other people have put together from your items, as well as directly interact with people who’ve already bought. Since discovering this feature, I’ve made several sales just by creating bundles and offering discounts. A few people have even bought the entire bundle right after I created it for them. You can’t do that with PrimeLister.

I’m keeping my PrimeLister subscription…for now

For now, I still use PrimeLister to automatically distribute my listings and others’ listings, but I’m no longer sending out Instant Offers through it and have been switching to Poshmark’s built-in features. So far, so good: Between the two tools, I’m saving time and making enough sales to afford the $30 monthly fee.

But if your own reselling doesn’t justify $30 a month for PrimeLister, I hope you’ll find it helpful to know that Poshmark has had a similar set of features hidden in that hidden menu all along.
