This Site Will Show You Hotels Where You Can Continue Your Peloton Winning Streak

I spend as much time as possible traveling during the summer, which is great for my mental health but can make it a bit difficult to reach my fitness goals if I don’t make a conscious effort to stay on track. One aspect of the Peloton membership that I love is the accessibility of the company’s equipment and classes, so long as you choose the right hotels. If you’re traveling but want to keep up your Peloton routine, the company offers a tool that makes it easy.
Check out the Peloton website to find a hotel that suits you.
I’m not suggesting you base your hotel choice solely on the availability of a Peloton Bike, but if you plan on cycling daily, it’s worth considering. The company’s website hasa hotel search that can help you find hotels with the equipment you need.
The tool is easy to use: You enter your destination, and you’re presented with a list of hotels with available facilities nearby. My next trip will likely be to West Virginia (one of the last nine states I need to check off before visiting all 50). I typed Charleston into the search bar and got three results, all named Hilton. In addition to searching by city, you can filter by your preferred hotel brand: Hilton, Hyatt, Marriott Bonvoy, and more.
You’ll see the hotels’ locations on a map, which can help you figure out if the hotel is close to your destination. Clicking on the hotel’s name will give you more information: a sidebar will tell you what type of equipment is available (usually a Peloton Bike), where it’s located (usually in the fitness center, but some hotels offer in-room equipment), and other details like whether the pedals are cleat-free and whether hand weights are available.
My Experience Using Peloton in Hotels
I am deeply loyal to a brand when it gives me rewards points . I am also very motivated by any app that offers the opportunity to achieve and maintain a “streak.” That’s why I am a loyal Hilton Honors member and use the Peloton app daily. I have stayed at many Hilton properties over the past few years, and many of them have Peloton bikes in their fitness centers.
Two weeks ago, I was at the Denver Hilton and had no trouble finding the fitness center and the Bike, but when I went for a ride, I couldn’t connect my Bluetooth headphones to the bike. A pop-up notification warned me that all device settings were owned by the hotel. I opted to hit the treadmill and do a Peloton running workout on my phone . Just be aware: You may need to ride at a low volume, ask a hotel employee to help you connect your headphones, or schedule your gym visit during off-peak hours to avoid disturbing other guests. (Also keep in mind that you can filter your Peloton hotel search to see hotels that have the equipment in their rooms. This will solve the problem, but it may cost a little more.)
The results are not exhaustive.
I stayed at a Hyatt in Baltimore this weekend after my boyfriend decided at the last minute that we should postpone our trip home for a day. It was an exciting experience for me, as I got to see what a non-Hilton stay was like, even as I mourned my lost Honors points. The in-room TV screen featured a Peloton Classes tab that offered access to an app so guests could stretch, do yoga, or do other workouts without leaving their room. It was easy to sign into your Peloton account with a simple QR code on the screen, just like I did with the bike in Denver. However, when I used Peloton’s hotel finder to try to find the right hotel, it didn’t show up. So keep in mind that the hotel finder site is really just for finding equipment and doesn’t cover in-room TV classes.
But that’s okay — you always have the option of using the Peloton app wherever you are, like I did in Denver when I didn’t want to blast a class across the entire gym. Last month, I stayed at a cozy hotel in Rhode Island, and there was no Peloton. (Heck, there was nothing there.) Instead, I used the mobile app to get through a walking workout at a local park, keeping up with my fitness goals (and the goals associated with the series).
