This Nintendo Switch OLED Bundle Is Still Selling at Its Sale-Day Price

I have an Xbox Series X, a PS5, and a PC. For some reason, I never got around to buying a Nintendo Switch. But I’ve been tracking deals on the system this whole time, and during Prime Day 2025, I finally found a deal on the Nintendo Switch OLED that was so good that I decided to go for it. And even though Prime Day is over, the deal is still on.
Yes, the Switch OLED is four years old, but it has a few improvements over the original Switch that make it worth the purchase, even in light of the recent release of the Nintendo Switch 2. Until July 19 (or while supplies last, whichever comes first), you can pick up the Nintendo Switch OLED with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for $275 on Amazon-owned Woot!
Keep in mind that this offer applies to international models of the console. This means that these consoles were originally intended for sale outside the U.S., but due to some oddities with supply and demand, are now available in the U.S. Nintendo of America likely won’t provide the same warranty you’d get with a Switch purchased in the U.S., which could be a deal-breaker for some buyers. However, you’ll be able to buy, download, and play digital versions of games without issue. Specifically, Woot! offers a limited 90-day warranty, so if something happens to your console within the first three months of purchase, you can contact the store for assistance.
However, once you buy this console, you are pretty much on your own. I have some experience with this, as Nintendo doesn’t have an official presence in India, where I live. Its consoles and games are available from some local retailers, but they have to import them from other regions. We don’t get any warranty support from Nintendo at all, but overall I haven’t heard of too many Switch failures. If you can live with that risk, it’s a great deal on a console that will last for years to come.
The real question is: should you buy this Switch or save up for the Switch 2 ? If you’ve never owned a Switch or are looking to introduce the kid next door to Nintendo games, the Switch OLED is a great starting point for under $300. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe itself typically retails for $60, and it’s hard to find a deal that lets you pick it up for under $40. You’re guaranteed dozens of hours of fun multiplayer with this game alone. Since it’s backwards compatible, I’d recommend picking up the Switch 2 if you have the cash, but since there aren’t many exclusives on that console right now, the Switch OLED can still play most of the games you’ll find on the new system. Plus, you’re unlikely to find a sale on this much more expensive machine anytime soon.
