Prime Day Is Over, but These 17 Deals Are Still Going

Prime Day 2025 is over, and I don’t know about you, but I’m a little tired. Lifehacker spent every minute of this year’s epic two-day sale hunting down the best discounts, deals, and bargains on items we’d bought ourselves, loved, reviewed, and loved, or had on our wish lists waiting for a price drop. And now it’s over, at least until Prime Big Deal Days in October.

Or did it? Although Prime Day officially ended yesterday, not all the discounts were valid. Here are 17 products we previously recommended that are still discounted. But hurry — the sale could end at any moment.

The Phone-Shaped E-Book That Became a Cult

I’ve personally been obsessed with the Boox Palma e-reader for about two years now. It has a phone form factor, a Kindle screen, and an open Android operating system that lets you download any reading apps you want, so you’re not tied to buying books from the retailer that sold it. Carrying it around with my iPhone has allowed me to read far more and scroll far less. It’s almost never on sale, so the current $30 discount is a relative bargain.

OLED Nintendo Switch on sale for $100 because who needs a Switch 2?

Okay, so I want a Switch 2 (for Mario Kart World !), but I won’t be buying one for a long time, considering I only bought the original Switch in 2021. Given the Switch’s huge catalog of third-party and indie games, you can definitely keep playing on the Switch OLED (the updated model with a bigger, better screen) for years to come — and with a $100 discount, it’s a whopping $200 cheaper than the previous version. You can also get a Mario Kart 8 bundle for $25 more, which is pretty good considering you’re probably already buying Mario Kart 8. (That’s a deal from Woot!, but considering Woot! is owned by Amazon, I still consider that a Prime Day deal.)

Meta Quest 3S so you can see what VR gaming is all about

I’ve had a Meta Quest 2 for a few years now, and I’d describe it as the coolest gadget I’ve ever used. VR gaming is incredibly fun and immersive, but the headset is too heavy, the video quality is a bit blurry, and playing for more than 15 minutes hurts my eyes. The Meta Quest 3S would likely solve many of these issues: it’s lighter, offers better video quality, and is supposed to be more comfortable overall. Lifehacker’s Steven Johnson thinks it’s a smarter buy than the pricier Meta Quest 3 , especially with a $50 discount.

Microsoft Surface Pro Laptop and Tablet Combo

Our tech reviewer David Nield gave this 2-in-1 a glowing 4.5/5 rating earlier this year , praising its features, compact build, and battery life. That’s another reason to get it at its lowest price yet — $100 off, which makes it a lot easier to buy the keyboard and stylus bundle.

A MacBook Air that will last for years to come

Maybe Apple is overdoing it with the MacBook Air line. I’m still using a 2020 M1, and it works almost like new. I can only imagine how long I’ll be able to use the new M4 MacBook Air, which now comes with 16GB of RAM. (Probably much longer than I’m willing to imagine in 2025.) It’s currently $150 off, making it one of the best Prime Day deals, according to our tech editor Michelle Ehrhardt.

AirPods Pro because… it’s AirPods Pro but 40% off

It probably goes without saying that Apple AirPods Pro are a great buy for iPhone owners or anyone in the Apple ecosystem. They regularly appear on “best wireless earbuds” lists, including ours , and now you can spend a lot less on them — 40% off — one of the biggest discounts I’ve ever seen on an Apple product.

Or AirPods 4 if you don’t have the money.

In addition to Apple’s insanely expensive AirPods, Amazon has a great deal on the newest AirPods 4 without ANC, which are now just $89. Granted, that’s for the version without ANC, but it’s still a great price. (AirPods tend to hold their value for a long time and rarely go on major sales.) I bought these for my daughter for Christmas and paid $30 more, which is what the ANC version is now , by the way. Instead, I got the satisfaction of my daughter exclaiming, “Oh, just the regular ones? Thanks, I guess.” (Just kidding, she was still totally stoked.)

Or the Sony WF-1000XM5s, one of the best AirPods Pro alternatives.

Look, maybe you don’t need AirPods at all? I get it! (I’m a fan of the Beats Fit Pro .) Well, maybe you should consider Sony’s beloved AirPods Pro competitor, the catchily named WF-1000XM5s . At $199, they’re on sale for $100 off, and everyone can probably agree that they’re better than Apple’s earbuds (except maybe those who’ve convinced themselves that Apple’s earbuds are the ones to buy).

A 5G smartphone under $200 with lots of features

Today’s flagship smartphones are so advanced that I’d wager most people never use the lion’s share of their features and capabilities. Instead of stretching the cost of a $1,000 Samsung over several years, you might find that you’re perfectly happy with a budget option. The Motorola Moto G Power 5G packs an astonishing set of features for a device that costs just $175 (unlocked!), including a decent camera, a powerful processor, and a battery that lasts 12 hours. Here’s your chance to ditch the upgrade track and just…get a phone.

An iPad You Won’t Be Afraid to Give to Your Child

I used to be one of those “limit screen time” parents, but then the pandemic happened, and now my life is a constant battle with YouTube, Roblox , and an inability to control my emotions (and not just my own). If you have a toddler who’s prone to, say, throwing a tablet on the floor when a game of Grow a Garden doesn’t go as planned, make sure they’re not throwing an $800 iPad. In other words, now’s the time to buy an entry-level 11-inch iPad , because you can get it for 20% off.

Incredibly large and eye-pleasing e-ink notebook

If you value the capabilities of an e-ink notebook like the Viwoods AiPaper but are looking for a notebook with an absolutely huge screen, I really like the Boox Note Max , which has a 13.3-inch display that rivals your laptop’s screen ( read my review ). It offers a comfortable, paper-like writing experience, a smooth stylus, and a crystal-clear e-ink screen . Like the AiPaper, it supports the Google Play Store, but without all the hassle that other devices have to jump through to get it to work. It’s definitely pricey, retailing for almost $700, but you can save $60 during Prime Day. Ten percent may not seem like a lot of money, but as I noted above, Palma, 2, and Boox devices are almost never on sale, so this is a great time to buy.

What do you think at the moment?

A handful of AirTags

AirTags are great for keeping track of things: I keep one in my car so I always remember where I parked, one attached to both sets of keys, and one to my Beats Fit Pro case because I lose it several times a day. I need more, so I’m getting them on sale for Prime Day: a set of four earbuds is $65 instead of $100, or about $16 each—a bargain for the peace of mind of never having to ask my wife if she’s wearing my earbuds again.

A Big 4K TV for Much Less Than You Think

Last Prime Day, I set a goal to buy a new TV that was a) at least 50 inches and b) under $250. I picked up an Insignia — Best Buy’s house brand that’s also sold on Amazon for some reason — that ticked both boxes, and I was pretty happy with it. Oh, if only I’d waited! This year, I could spend $70 less and get all that , plus 4K resolution! Alas: I’ll have to leave that $170 Insignia 4K 50-inch LED TV with Alexa integration to someone else. (If you want a bigger TV, there are deals on a few larger sizes, too.)

The Karaoke Machine That Can Change Your Life

I know how a karaoke system can change your life? Well, our own Steven Johnson says the Ikarao Break X2 Smart Karaoke System changed his life , and who am I to doubt his life experience? It actually looks pretty cool, with an Android touchscreen tablet, two wireless microphones, up to 300 watts of audio output, and an electric guitar input so you can use it as a rehearsal amp. And it’s $120 off! That’s a bargain to change your life.

Wait, Steve also says that the GoPro Hero 12 is his favorite gadget ever and that getting one could change your life. What is that, Steve? A camera? A karaoke system? What if you film yourself with a GoPro using a karaoke system? Either way, the camera sounds pretty cool and it’s $80 off .

Professional milk frother

I’ve written extensively about my coffee obsession for Lifehacker, sharing the products and gadgets that fuel my caffeine habit , but somehow I’ve never bought myself a proper frother. The little nozzle I bought at IKEA is essentially a novelty, and the Nespresso nozzle I found on the street (thank you, Park Slope, Brooklyn’s free-coffee-machine culture!) doesn’t make fluffy milky clouds. So I’m tempted by the Dreo All-in-1 BaristaMaker , another one of Ellie’s recommendations (she gave it a rave review ).

Smart Leak Detectors That Can Help Prevent Disaster

Last year, while my son and I were camping, my wife sent me a funny text about how our water heater had suddenly started spraying water everywhere. After a $700 repair, we decided to invest in some leak sensors so we’d be notified in the future when water starts leaking in the basement (and hopefully before steam starts pouring out of the radiators upstairs). Our smart home expert Amanda recommends this set of three sensors from Aqara that work with a companion app to let you remotely monitor your home’s water issues for 35% off.
