I’ve been using Logitech MX Keys keyboards for years, ever since they first came out in 2019. I love this keyboard. The flat island-style keys are incredibly smooth and comfortable, and so flat that you can slip this keyboard into your laptop bag without worrying about damage. Flat keys aren’t for everyone, but if you’re like me and prefer them for work, these are some of the best I’ve found outside of super-expensive laptops.

Logitech Options+ software makes the Logitech MX Keys even more powerful. For a long time, I exclusively used gaming peripherals for work , in part because only gaming devices had the customization tools to create custom shortcuts and macros. Options+ makes this power available to everyone: You can assign shortcuts to any keys you want ( like making the CapsLock key more useful? ) and create custom macros to perform complex but repetitive tasks.

The MX Keys Mini keyboard also connects easily to multiple devices, thanks to Logitech’s excellent wireless suite. It supports three device profiles, so you can switch between typing on your desktop, laptop, or tablet with the press of a button. If you frequently move between workstations, this can be a huge time saver.

I can also attest to their durability, having used these keyboards for as long as I can remember. I’ve been using the Mini’s big brother, the MX Keys S, daily since it came out in 2023, and I’ve seen no noticeable degradation or failure. The keyboard works almost as well as it did the first time, although now that I look closely, I realize it could probably use a little cleaning .
