The Cheapest Apple Watch Is Even More of a Deal on the Last Day of Prime Day

While the Apple Watch Series 10 ($120 off Prime Day) is the best smartwatch for most people, not everyone needs every feature of a $300 smartwatch. Personally, I’ve been happily using the Apple Watch SE for over a year now and am quite happy with it.
The SE is the budget version of the Series 10, and the 44mm version will be on sale for $199 on the final day of the Prime Day sale. You can choose between the 40mm and 44mm versions, which are the two available screen sizes for the second-generation Apple Watch SE. (I use and recommend the 44mm version, as it offers longer battery life and is a better deal on Prime Day.)
The Apple Watch SE lacks many of the Series 10’s features, including a temperature sensor, fast charging, and an ECG app. However, if you’re looking for a smartwatch just for fitness tracking and notifications, the SE is a great choice. I track my strength training, yoga, running, and other workouts with the SE, and I don’t regret it one bit. It runs the latest version of watchOS and is getting an update to watchOS 26 this fall, so it’s here to stay for a while. It’s 30 percent off the $279 retail price during Prime Day, which is a near-record low.
Some people may find the 44mm version too big for their wrists. While the 40mm version retails for $169, it’s not as good a deal as the larger watches. However, I understand that some of us just can’t be seen in public with a larger watch on our wrists.
Looking for something different? Retailers like Walmart, Best Buy, and Home Depot are running Prime Day sales that are especially helpful if you don’t have an Amazon Prime subscription.
