New to Prime Day? We’ve got everything you need to get started . Sales information is accurate at time of publication, but prices and stock levels are subject to change.
This latest Prime Day (yes, it’s four days long this year), let’s take a look at the best deals on fitness trackers. Oura and Whoop are both in full swing, and you can snag two different Fitbit models for under $100 — here are just a few of the best deals. (If you’re looking for more fitness deals, I’ve got a list of the best deals on everything fitness .)
Best Deals on Oura Rings
The Oura Ring 4 (the newest version released late last year) is on sale for the first time this Prime Day, with 15% off all colors and sizes. Note that a $5.99 per month subscription is required to access Oura’s features in addition to the purchase price.
-
Oura Ring in Black or Silver 4 : $297 (regular price $349).
-
Oura 4 Ring in Matte Silver or “Hidden” (matte black) : $339 (regular price $399)
-
Oura 4 Ring in Gold or Rose Gold : $424 (regularly $499)
The previous version of the ring, Gen 3, is not available at special prices. But since Gen 4 came out, the price has dropped from the original $299 (and up) to $249 (and up). I’m seeing a few colors and sizes at lower prices, like this size 9 flat top silver Heritage ring for $218 . The Gen 3 is still a great ring, and you can read my comparison of the differences between the Gen 3 and Gen 4 here .
Deals Between Fitness Rings RingConn and Ultrahuman
Both rings are also on sale, and neither requires a subscription. I haven’t tried the RingConn yet, but I’m currently wearing the Ultrahuman (working on a future review), and it’s definitely a worthy alternative to the Oura.
-
RingConn gen 2 ring in silver or black , $209.30 (regular price $299).
-
Ultrahuman Ring , $296 (regular price $349).
Best Deal on Whoop Belt
Whoop now has three membership levels (a change that came with the new 5.0/MG hardware ). The lowest membership level is currently discounted, making it a great way to get your hands on 5.0 and decide if you want to become a Whoop member.
Whoop operates on a model where you pay for a (rather expensive) subscription and get the device “for free”, meaning the device comes with a year’s subscription. After that, you’ll need to renew your subscription to continue using it.
But the best part is that the One (budget segment) and Peak (mid-range segment) use the same hardware. So you can buy the One , and if you like it, pay the difference and switch to the Peak at any time.
-
Whoop 5.0 with 12-month “One” subscription – $169 (regular price $199).
Best Fitbits Deals
I spent a lot of time testing the Fitbit Charge 6 for my review and ultimately found it to be a solid gadget, albeit a bit basic compared to other fitness watches like Garmin. However, many people like this tracker for its simplicity: it tells the time, measures heart rate, and doesn’t get in the way. My colleague David Nield raved about it when he talked about the current discount on the Charge 6.
So if you’re in the market for a Fitbit, now’s the time. It’s usually $159.99, but sometimes it drops to $99.99, and that’s what we’re experiencing today. The even cheaper Inspire 3 is also on sale today.
-
Fitbit Charge 6 : $99.95 today (regular price $159). This is the model with built-in GPS, Google Pay, and YouTube Music.
-
Fitbit Inspire 3 : $74.95 (regular price $99.95) This is a budget tracker without any bells and whistles, but it still does a great job of telling time and measuring heart rate.
Best Deals on Garmin Watches
Garmin watches are the perfect choice for running and fitness. All of these watches feature high-precision GPS to track your walking and running distances, and show you your speed. They all have impressive battery life, typically more than a week, depending on how you use them.
Most of these deals are for slightly older models. The exception is the Venu 3/3S, which is the current model in its lineup, although I have heard rumors of a possible version 4 coming soon. Still, Garmins are aging phenomenally, and I would happily buy any of these watches. Personally, I think the Forerunner 955 and 255 are some of the best value watches or fitness trackers out there right now.
-
Garmin Forerunner 955 : $349.99 (originally $599.99) An incredibly feature-rich watch with maps and a ton of advanced running features. It has a reflective MIP display , which, while dated, many Garmin fans will say is more practical than AMOLED. (I personally like both types of displays.)
-
Garmin Forerunner 255 : $199.99 (originally $349.99). This is a stripped-down version of the 955, with the same basic features but without the maps and touchscreen (the side buttons control it). If you want offline music storage ($50 extra), check out the Music version and the smaller S version. All models are available at the same link.
-
Garmin Forerunner 165 : $231.99 (originally $249.99) This is probably Garmin’s most popular entry-level running watch right now. The sale isn’t the best deal, but it’s worth the savings if you really want one. It has an AMOLED screen rather than the old MIP. Still, if I’m being honest, the 255 is the better buy.
-
Garmin Epix Pro (gen 2) Sapphire : $609.99 (originally $1,099.99) This is a premium watch similar to the Fenix, and the current price is incredibly attractive.
-
Garmin Instinct 2X Solar : $299.99 (originally $449.99) This is another slightly older model (there’s an Instinct 3 series now), but it’s still a great price for a great watch. This watch features a solar battery, an LED flashlight, and multi-band GPS in a rugged case — great for hiking and other outdoor activities.
-
Garmin Venu 3 and 3S : $399.99 (originally $449.99). The Venu 3 is Garmin’s smartest watch, with voice calling and ECG features. The 3S is the same thing, but smaller.
-
Garmin Vivoactive 5 : $ 190.99 to $195, depending on color (originally $299). It was recently replaced by the Vivoactive 6 , but both are excellent and perhaps the most underrated of Garmin’s lineup. Unless you’re looking for walking workouts or a smart alarm that might not work (I never got mine to work), just get the Vivoactive 5.
Best Deals on Amazfit Watches
Amazfit has been making budget fitness watches for a while now (despite the name, they have nothing to do with Amazon). Their watches keep getting better, and my colleague Matthew Miller at ZDNet has full reviews of both models I’m reviewing here. Spoiler: he likes them.
Both models really excel in their specs, offering features you won’t find in, say, a Garmin watch unless you spend hundreds of dollars on it.
-
Amazfit T-Rex 3 : $199.99 (regular price $279.99) This is one of the brand’s best sports watches, durable and built for outdoor activities. Read Matthew Miller’s review here .
-
Amazfit Active 2 : $99.99 (regular price $129.99) The sapphire glass and built-in maps are really impressive for the price. Here’s Matthew Miller’s review .
