Now Is the Time to Buy Apple’s Newest MacBook Pros Before Prime Day Ends Today

Prime Day 2025 ends tonight, and before it’s over, Lifehacker is sharing the best sales based on product reviews, comparisons, and price tracking tools.

The MacBook Pro is the perfect choice for artists, filmmakers, and even programmers who need more performance. It’s still relatively thin and light, and because Apple’s proprietary chip has had time to mature, it offers excellent compatibility with the most popular office programs and some of the best battery life on the market. There are three main versions available, depending on the chip you choose, and all models are discounted during Prime Day.

Deals start at $1,429 ($170 off) , which gets you a MacBook Pro with a standard M4 chip, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage. That makes it the closest option to the MacBook Air , though the fan will keep it cooler for longer, and you can spend a little more to upgrade to more memory or storage if you want. Also, this model’s 14.2-inch display isn’t available on the Air, which only comes in 13-inch and 15-inch variants.

If you increase your budget to $1,799 ($200 off) , you’ll get a faster M4 Pro processor and up the memory to 24GB. An extra $350 will also double the storage if you need to store a lot of files on the drive at once. Alternatively, paying just $2,615 ($284 off) will double the RAM and get a 16.2-inch screen.

Finally, there are three M4 Max models on sale that will give you the best performance and savings. The cheapest one is currently priced at $2,874 (a $325 discount) and comes with 36GB of RAM, 1TB of storage, and a 14.2-inch screen. For $3,149 (a $350 discount), you’ll also get 36GB of RAM, 1TB of storage, but a larger 16.2-inch screen. The most expensive model is priced at $3,596 (a $404 discount) and comes with 48GB of RAM, 1TB of storage, and a 16.2-inch screen. That’s probably overkill for most, but saving over $400 is a tempting deal.

What do you think at the moment?

All of the above deals come in two colors, and you can choose either one without sacrificing the price, which isn’t always guaranteed in cases like these. You can also add three years of AppleCare+ to any of these deals for an extra fee, though the amount of savings varies depending on the model you buy.
