New to Prime Day? We’ve got everything you need to get started . Sales information is accurate at time of publication, but prices and availability are subject to change.
Prime Day on Amazon is now more like Prime Week. In fact, many other retailers are running their own promotions at the same time, including Best Buy, Walmart, Target, and more. Still, it’s a great opportunity to cross items off your wish list, especially if they would otherwise be quite expensive.
For a techie like me, that means now is the time to pick up that gadget you’ve been wanting. Just be sure to check the price history of an item before rushing to a sale that looks too good to be true. Some discounts aren’t as great as they seem.
Luckily for you, I’ve already got that covered, at least for some of my favorite gadgets. I’ll be updating this list throughout the week with the best deals I can find on laptops, tablets, TVs, and more. More deals will be added over time, and prices are current at the time of writing, but stock levels may fluctuate and run out between updates, so don’t hesitate to jump on a sale that’s worth checking out.
Best Prime Day Deals on Laptops
Laptops are one of the most reliable items to buy on Prime Day. Here are my picks for both PC and Mac.
-
Apple MacBook Air 13-inch with M4 chip: $849 at Amazon (was $999) . Apple’s newest MacBook Air features the new M4 chip, a base 16GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage.
-
Apple MacBook Air 15-inch with M4 chip: $1,049 at Amazon (was $1,199) . This MacBook Air also has the M4 chip and starts with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, but it has a larger 15-inch screen.
-
Apple MacBook Pro 14-inch with M4/M4 Pro/M4 Max chip: $1,429 at Amazon (was $1,599) . The smaller MacBook Pro comes standard with the M4 chip, 16GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage, but can be configured with the M4 Pro or M4 Max chip, as well as more memory and storage.
-
Apple MacBook Air 16-inch with M4 Pro/M4 Max chip: $2,587 at Amazon (was $2,899) . The larger MacBook Pro has the largest screen of any Apple notebook and comes with an M4 Pro or Max chip. You can customize the amount of RAM and storage to suit your budget.
-
Microsoft Surface Laptop 13-inch: $800 at Best Buy (was $900) . Microsoft’s own version of the laptop is now on sale in a MacBook-like form factor. It offers a familiar layout for those switching to Windows for the first time and features a battery-efficient ARM processor.
-
Samsung Galaxy Book5 360: $1,050 at Amazon (was $1,350) . This Samsung laptop is a convertible, meaning it can be turned into a tablet. It comes with a mid-range Intel Core Ultra 7 processor.
-
Asus ROG Strix G16: $1,275 at Amazon (was $1,500) The Asus Rog Strix G16 gaming laptop comes in several models, all of which are on sale. The pricier models feature a 16-inch QHD+ display with a 240Hz refresh rate, an Intel Core i9 processor, and a 1TB SSD. There’s also an entry-level model with an FHD+ display with a 165Hz refresh rate and an Intel Core i7 processor.
-
Acer Nitro V Gaming Laptop: $850 at Amazon (was $950) . This is a solid budget gaming laptop with mostly modern tech, including an Intel Core i7 processor and an RTX 4050 graphics card. Plus, for the price, you get 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, which is a surprising amount for this price, as well as a 1080p display with a 165Hz refresh rate.
-
HP Victus 15.6″: $650 at Best Buy (was $900) This incredibly cheap gaming laptop costs almost as much as a Chromebook, but it packs a full Ryzen 7 processor and RTX 4050 graphics, along with a 1080p display with a 144Hz refresh rate. Some of the tech is generations old, but at these prices, it’s a tradeoff that might be worth making.
-
Acer Chromebook Plus 514: $323 at Amazon (was $400) . This Chromebook has a large 1080p IPS display, and while it’s not as powerful as pricier laptops, it does come with a number of Chromebook Plus AI features designed to even the playing field.
Best Prime Day Deals on Tablets
For some, tablets are now as important as laptops, and they’re just as often discounted on Prime Day. Whether you’re an Apple or Android user, there’s a tablet to suit your needs.
-
Apple’s 11-inch iPad: $279 at Amazon (was $349) . Apple’s base model iPad is now on sale for a small discount. It features the A16 chip, which is the same processor found in the iPhone 14 Pro.
-
Apple iPad Air 13-inch: $679 at Amazon (was $799) . The iPad Air isn’t technically Apple’s thinnest iPad anymore, but it’s a worthy upgrade over the base model with a much more powerful M3 chip and the option to buy either a 13-inch or 11-inch model.
-
Apple iPad Pro: $899 at Amazon (was $999) . This model is Apple’s most premium (and, in fact, thinnest) iPad. It has an M4 chip, which puts it roughly on par with the MacBook Air. It also features an OLED display for the first time in an iPad.
-
Microsoft Surface Pro: $850 at Amazon (was $1,200) This tablet is the only one on this list with a full desktop operating system, offering the same Windows 11 experience as any other PC. That makes it a great choice for those who want to go from the convenience of a tablet to a more traditional computing environment in an instant.
-
Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+: $133 at Amazon (was $220). The Samsung A9+ has a large 11-inch display with 1200p resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. You can save even more by going with the 64GB model, but if you plan to use the tablet for a long time, the 128GB model will give you more storage flexibility.
Best Prime Day Phone Deals
The beginning of the year usually sees a lot of new phone models released, so your phone may already be outdated. Here are the best chances to upgrade this Prime Day.
-
Samsung Galaxy S25 (unlocked): $645 at Amazon (was $860) . Samsung’s Galaxy line is probably the closest thing to an iPhone with Android, and it’s a good backup option for those who don’t know where to start. It’s also known for its cameras, so it’s a great choice for photo enthusiasts, too.
-
Samsung Galaxy S25+ (unlocked): $950 at Amazon (was $1,000) If the standard S25 is too small for you, the S25+ might be a great option. It has all the benefits of the S25, but with a half-inch larger display.
-
Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra (unlocked): $1,055 at Amazon (was $1,420) . Samsung’s Ultra smartphones have the highest megapixel counts on the market and come with styluses. They’re arguably the most premium smartphone experience available right now, on Android or other platforms.
-
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 (Unlocked): $800 at Amazon (was $1,100) . The Z Flip 6 is for those who miss the flip phones of the ’90s and 2000s. When unfolded, you get a familiar 6.7-inch smartphone, but when folded, the screen shrinks to 3.4 inches. This keeps the phone compact but still allows you to read text messages and make basic calls. It’s available in 256GB and 512GB versions.
-
Motorola Razr 2024 (unlocked): $500 at Amazon (was $700) The Motorola Razr is a budget alternative to the Galaxy Z Flip, and while I like the 2025 model , the base 2024 model featured here is still worth your consideration at this price. For much less than the Z Flip, you get a 3.6-inch external screen, a 6.9-inch internal display, and a decent MediaTek Dimensity 7300X processor.
-
Google Pixel 9a (unlocked): $424 at Amazon (was $499) . Google Pixel phones are known for their smart AI features, and the budget Pixel 9a gives you access to most of the capabilities of other Pixel devices. Plus, it doesn’t have a bulky camera panel, making it easier to fit in your pocket.
-
Google Pixel 9 (unlocked): $549 at Amazon (was $799) The Pixel 9a is a great phone at a great price, but if you want something with more power, there’s the Pixel 9. It has 12GB of RAM instead of the 9a’s 8GB, and it offers more video recording capabilities.
Prime Day’s Best Smartwatch Deals
Smartwatches used to be a luxury for me, a nice thing to have, but I would never buy one myself. Now that I got one as a gift, I can’t imagine living without it. Treat yourself this summer with a Prime Day discount.
-
Apple Watch Series 10: $279 at Amazon (was $399) . The latest version of Apple’s smartwatch has the standard fitness-tracking features, but it’s thinner, lighter, can play music through a speaker, and even has a dive computer app. It’s Apple’s biggest update in a while.
-
Apple Watch Ultra 2: $650 at Amazon (was $799) . Apple’s premium smartwatch, the Ultra, has a more rugged titanium case designed for the outdoors. It comes with a number of dedicated apps designed for everything from hiking to golf, and even has a programmable action button.
-
Google Pixel Watch 3: $285 at Amazon (was $400) Google’s Pixel Watch series is perhaps my favorite-looking smartwatch, with its sleek, minimalist circular design. This version has a thinner bezel and comes with all-new Fitbit features, including tracking metrics like vertical oscillation while running.
-
Samsung Galaxy Watch 7: $160 at Amazon (was $300) . The Galaxy Watch 7 is the cheapest smartwatch on this list, but it looks pretty luxurious thanks to a design that resembles a classic mechanical watch. It doesn’t have a digital crown, but it’s no slouch when it comes to activity tracking, especially for sleep or heart rate monitoring.
-
Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra: $399 at Walmart (was $650) . This Galaxy smartwatch features a digital wheel, as well as longer battery life and a more durable titanium body. It also comes with a variety of apps for outdoor activities, like diving.
Best Prime Day Deals on Headphones and Headsets
Just buy a new phone? Great! But you’ll probably want the included earbuds, right?
-
Apple AirPods Pro 2: $149 at Amazon (was $249) . Apple’s best earbuds are on sale right now, and they’re definitely worth the money. They feature noise cancellation, USB-C charging, conversation recognition, and a built-in speaker in the case to make them easy to find.
-
Apple AirPods 4: $89 at Amazon (was $130) . Also on sale are Apple’s newest non-Pro AirPods, which feature USB-C charging, immersive sound, a promised 30 hours of battery life (with charging case), and Voice Isolation.
-
Beats Studio Buds: $80 at Amazon (was $150) . They’re technically an Apple brand, but Beats offer cheaper noise-canceling than the AirPods Pro, as well as a different shape that some people might like.
-
Sony WF10000XM5 Headphones: $200 at Best Buy (was $300) . In my opinion, Sony is Apple’s best competitor when it comes to noise cancellation. With the WF1000XM5 headphones, the company uses technology in a small footprint without sacrificing quality.
-
Apple AirPods Max: $430 at Amazon (was $549) . Apple’s over-ear AirPods Max are a great choice for those who want AirPods-level noise cancellation and automatic audio switching but prefer a more traditional form factor.
-
Beats Studio Pro: $170 at Amazon (was $350) Apple’s more affordable headphones, the Beats Studio Pro, feature personalized spatial sound and active noise cancellation.
-
Sony WH-1000XM4: $193 at Amazon (was $348) . These Sony headphones are two generations behind, but they offer a compact form factor that’s hard to find for less. They feature conversation recognition, a built-in mic for calls, Alexa control, and come in three color options.
-
Sony WH-1000XM5: $298 at Amazon (was $400) . Sony’s latest generation of noise-canceling headphones trades down on portability, but it features four beamforming microphones for better call quality and promises up to 30 hours of battery life.
-
Nothing Ear Wireless Headphones: $99 at Amazon (was $160) . The stylish Nothing Ear headphones are one of the most affordable options for noise cancellation today, and even the flagship models are cheaper than other options. They give you long battery life, high-quality sound, and a dynamic equalizer.
Best Prime Day TV Deals
I buy TVs basically only on sales. I’m not planning on changing the model now, but here’s what I’d buy if I thought about it.
-
LG B3 77-inch OLED TV: $1,497 at Amazon (was $2,297) . LG makes some of the best OLED TVs on the market, and this big-screen model combines 4K resolution with a fast 120Hz refresh rate. There are four HDMI 2.1 inputs.
-
55-inch Roku Plus Series QLED 4K Smart TV: $299 at Best Buy (was $500) . Roku is arguably one of the best ways to get a great TV deal right now. Available in sizes up to 75 inches, this TV features 4K resolution, Dolby Vision support, a 60Hz refresh rate, and the fast Roku operating system built in. Select a size to see the exact price.
-
50-inch Insignia F50 Fire Series 4K TV: $170 at Amazon (was $300) . If you want one of the cheapest 4K TVs around, check out this one, which is oddly made by Best Buy but runs Amazon’s OS. There are only a few sizes available right now, with the cheapest being the 50-inch. You won’t get a high refresh rate or any of the OLED- or even QLED-style benefits, but it will still upscale a high-resolution image to a large size.
-
TCL Q6 Series 55-inch 4K Google Smart TV: $280 at Best Buy (was $320) . If you’re not a big fan of Amazon or Roku operating systems, TCL’s TV is a good choice. This model comes in up to 98 inches, has a 4K QLED panel, supports Dolby Vision, and has a respectable 60Hz refresh rate.
-
85-inch TCL QM7 QLED 4K Smart TV: $1,240 at Amazon (was $2,000) . This model from TCL is currently only available at discounted prices, but it’s still a relatively affordable option for big-screen viewing at home. The TV has Google TV built-in, supports 4K, can play games at up to 240 frames per second, and while it’s not an OLED display, its QD-Mini LED technology has multiple dimming zones for a similar experience.
-
85-inch TCL QM8 QLED 4K Smart TV: $1,626 at Amazon (was $2,499) On paper, the QM8 smart TV is very similar to the QM7, offering the same 4K resolution, 240 fps frame rate, and HDR support. It also has a game optimizer, allowing games to run at refresh rates up to 240 Hz. But it’s all in the details. While the QM7 has about 1,500 dimming zones for its mini-LEDs, the QM8 has about 2,300, which results in much deeper blacks and better contrast.
Prime Day’s Best Gaming Deals
Unfortunately, you won’t be able to buy the Nintendo Switch 2 at a significant discount this Prime Day. But there are some great deals and discounts to be found during the sale. Here are some of my favorites:
-
Nintendo Switch OLED: $249 at Woot (was $349) The Nintendo Switch 2 is out now, but that doesn’t mean the Switch 1 isn’t worth your time. This OLED model has a higher-contrast screen than the Switch 2, and since there aren’t many Switch 2 exclusives right now, it can still play most of Nintendo’s best games. It’s worth it if you don’t plan on upgrading to the Switch 2 in the next few years.
-
Meta Quest 3S: $249 at Amazon (was $300). The Meta Quest 3S is perhaps the easiest and most affordable way to get into VR right now. The base model comes with 128GB of storage and Cardboard Hero: Gorilla Tag , but if you want more storage, you can save $80 on the 256GB model , which comes with Batman: Arkham Shadow .
-
Legion Go S: $600 at Amazon (was $650) When it comes to portable gaming PCs, the Legion Go S is arguably the best competitor to the Steam Deck. Amazon has a Ryzen Z2 Go model with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage running Windows. The SteamOS model will cost you significantly more , but SteamOS can be installed on a portable Windows device .
-
Xbox Controller + Fire TV Stick 4K Max + 1 month Game Pass Ultimate: $88 at Amazon (was $150) . This bundle includes an Xbox Core game controller, plus, for a small extra fee, a Fire TV Stick 4K Max and 1 month Game Pass Ultimate. The deal? You’ll be able to use the streaming stick and Game Pass to play Xbox games over the cloud. But even without cloud gaming, you’re getting three products for about the price of one.
-
8Bitdo Ultimate 2 Wireless Game Controller: $48 at Amazon (was $60) . I never miss an opportunity to sing the praises of 8Bitdo’s Ultimate controllers. This incredibly inexpensive device comes with a dock, is compatible with both the adapter and Bluetooth, has Hall-effect sticks for added durability, rear paddles, extra bumpers, and switches that let you switch triggers with a single press. I have the previous version, and it’s one of my favorite gaming consoles.
-
Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 Core: $156 at Amazon (was $200) This is the controller for those who value maximum customization. It supports interchangeable thumbsticks, paddles, and D-pads, and lets you customize features like button mapping and dead zones in the Xbox Accessories app.
-
Razer BlackShark V2 Pro: $143 at Amazon (was $200) Most gaming headsets look like gaming headsets, but not this one. As Eric Ravenscraft writes for Lifehacker , the Razer BlackShark V2 Pro not only looks great, but it also lasts 70 hours on a single charge. Just make sure you buy the right headset for your console, as it’s available for both Xbox and PlayStation.
-
Razer Kishi Ultra Mobile Gaming Controller: $100 at Amazon (was $150) Many of us are gaming on our phones these days, but for some games, touch controls just aren’t as precise. That’s where mobile controllers come in. While I’ve recommended Backbone devices in the past, the newly released Razer Kishi Ultra is now on sale. It offers full-size, console-quality controls and is durable enough to hold on an iPad. It works with Android and Apple devices, and can also connect to a PC via a USB-C cable.
-
Nintendo Games: ~$40 at various stores (was $50-$70) . Prime Day is selling a surprising number of Nintendo games. Read more here.
-
PlayStation and Xbox Games: ~$30–$40 at various stores (was $50–$70) . PlayStation and Xbox games are discounted a little more often than Nintendo games, but that doesn’t make them any less of a bargain. Click here to check them out.
Looking for something different? Retailers like Walmart, Best Buy, and Home Depot are running Prime Day sales that are especially helpful if you don’t have an Amazon Prime subscription.
-
Walmart’s Prime Day sale starts at midnight on July 8 and includes discounts of up to 50% . It’s an especially great deal for those with a Walmart+ subscription.
-
Best Buy’s Prime Day sale , Black Friday in July, runs through Sunday, July 13, and is one of the best tech deals online . It’s an especially good deal for My Best Buy Plus or Total members.
-
Home Depot has extended its Fourth of July sale through at least July 9, offering some great deals . This is an especially great deal if you’re looking for power tools, appliances, or outdoor gear.
