New to Prime Day? We’ve got everything you need to get started . Sales information is accurate at time of publication, but prices and stock levels are subject to change.
Smartwatches aren’t usually as expensive as smartphones, tablets, or computers, but they are still pretty pricey in their own right. You can easily spend over $400 on one, and for good reason. Companies have packed these tiny devices with technology like heart rate monitors and ECGs, and they can do everything from sleep tracking to media playback.
In normal times, a good smartwatch can cost full price, but these aren’t normal times. It’s the last day of Amazon’s nearly weeklong Prime Day promotion, and there are still plenty of discounts on smartwatches. Whether you want an Apple Watch, Pixel Watch, Galaxy Watch, or something else, you can save today. Here are the best deals I’m seeing right now.
Apple Watch
If you have an iPhone, the Apple Watch is probably the most popular default smartwatch choice. There are other options, of course, but Apple makes choosing its watch super easy because it pairs perfectly with all of your other Apple products. Welcome to the ecosystem.
There are still a few great deals left on Apple Watch this Prime Day:
-
Apple Watch Ultra 2: $649.99 at Amazon (was $799). This is Apple’s premium smartwatch. It’s big, durable, and lasts a long time on a charge. (Apple claims up to 36 hours of typical use, while the Series 10 gets 18 hours.) It’s primarily aimed at athletes and adventurers—those who need a durable watch that can handle intense activity—but the extra features are useful for anyone. While the watch typically retails for $799, it’s currently 19% off at Amazon.
-
Apple Watch Series 10: $279 at Walmart (was $399) The Series 10 is Apple’s newest flagship watch. While it’s not as durable as the Ultra 2, it packs a lot of features, like a new design, a larger display, and a quick charge that goes from 0 to 80 percent in about 30 minutes. If you’re looking for a classic Apple Watch design with the company’s latest features, the Series 10 is your best bet. It starts at $279 for the 42mm case model, but you can also get the larger 46mm case model for $309, a $120 discount off the $429 retail price.
-
Apple Watch SE: $169 at Walmart (was $249). The Apple Watch SE is Apple’s “affordable” watch, but it’s a fantastic watch in its own right. It does pretty much everything you’d expect from an Apple Watch, including text messaging, activity tracking, and sleep tracking. The design is still very much in the style of the older Apple Watch, but for the price, it’s a good value. (You might even call it “vintage,” which is probably a plus.)
Pixel Watch
Unlike Apple’s ecosystem, Android is much more flexible when it comes to device choices. For example, you’re not tied to a single type of smartwatch. But if you already own one of Google’s Pixel smartphones, the Pixel Watch might be the best complement for you.
Google’s two Pixel Watch models are still on sale for Prime Day:
-
Pixel Watch 3: $299.99 at Amazon (was $399.99) The Pixel Watch 3 is Google’s newest Pixel Watch. It brings the latest features, including Fitbit integration, additional fitness tracking features, 20% faster charging, and smaller bezels than the Pixel Watch 2.
-
Pixel Watch 2: $185 at Walmart (was $249.99) If you want the most of the Pixel Watch experience for $115 less than the Pixel Watch 3, the Pixel Watch 2 is the way to go. It has wider bezels than the Pixel Watch 3 and is missing some of the new fitness and Fitbit features, but it does most, if not all, of the things you’d expect from a smartwatch. It’s a great price, though if Walmart sells out, you can get the same watch for $190 on Amazon .
Galaxy Watch
Like the Pixel Watch, the Galaxy Watch is arguably the best smartwatch for Samsung Galaxy phone owners, though you can pick almost any Android smartphone. Whether you own a Galaxy or another Android device and are interested in Samsung’s smartwatch version, here are two options you should consider:
-
Galaxy Watch 7: $189.99 at Amazon (was $329.99) This was Samsung’s last smartwatch until the company announced the Watch 8 this week. Wait until that model comes out if you want, but the Watch 7 is still a great buy. You get Galaxy AI features like an Energy Score that tells you how much you can do today based on your activity level; sleep tracking; suggested responses to text messages; and about 24 hours of battery life.
-
Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra: $319 at Amazon (was $649.99) Samsung’s premium, rugged smartwatch definitely has an Apple Watch feel. The Ultra 7 has all the best features of the Watch 7, plus some extras: It’s larger (47mm), made of titanium, and has a customizable shortcut button for added functionality.
Garmin
While these three models are certainly direct competitors, Garmin is in a slightly different league. Yes, the company makes smartwatches, but they are primarily aimed at the fitness community. It is both a fitness tracker and a smartwatch, and it is seeing some good sales this Prime Day:
-
Garmin Venu 3S: $399.99 at Walmart (was $449.99). Walmart is currently offering $50 off the Gamin Venu 3S smartwatch. Garmin says the watch will last up to 14 days in smartwatch mode, will prompt you to take a nap after a workout thanks to its Body Battery feature, will track your sleep (including automatic nap detection), and even comes with its own mobile payment system, Garmin Pay.
-
Garmin vívoactive 5: $190 at Amazon (was $299.99) It may not be as feature-rich as the Venu 3S, but the vívoactive 5 still has plenty of fitness and smartwatch features. It lasts 11 days in smartwatch mode (is that it?) and comes with features like Body Battery, sleep tracking, and nap detection.
