The SoundLink Max lives up to its name with powerful sound and even better build quality. It features a silicone-coated steel frame, a woven carrying handle, and a set of tactile buttons on the panel that feel much better than the typical soft-touch speaker controls. Three front-facing drivers and two passive radiators deliver rich, full-bodied stereo sound. While the ultra-deep bass can be a bit of a challenge at max volume, the mids and highs remain clear, according to PCMag’s review . You get 20 hours of battery life on a single charge, IP67 dust and water resistance, aptX Adaptive and AAC support, and multipoint pairing for two devices.

Still, for a speaker that’s perfect for backyard barbecues and beach parties alike, the SoundLink Max is a solid choice.
