The tag itself doesn’t have a key fob and requires a separate case or cover. It’s also worth noting that this device searches via Bluetooth or other Samsung devices, rather than using real-time GPS tracking. So it’s not ideal for pet tracking if your dog or cat is prone to wandering off. If they prefer to stick around but aren’t in sight, the tag might be useful if attached to a collar, which some Amazon reviewers report doing well. Overall, if you’re part of the Samsung Galaxy ecosystem and looking for an easier way to keep track of your belongings, the Samsung Galaxy SmartTag 2 tracker, priced at just over $15, is a great option.
