Prime Day Is a Great Time to Buy Nespresso Machines (and Capsules) With up to 40% Off

I love my Nespresso. As much as I wish I had a “real” espresso machine, Nespresso is incredibly convenient. Whether I want a morning latte or an after-dinner espresso, it’s ready in seconds, and there’s virtually no cleanup required—except for the occasional capsule toss. (At least they’re recyclable now.)

The real downside to Nespresso, however, is the price. The machines are expensive, but the capsules are surprisingly expensive. It’s great that my Nespresso makes coffee so quickly, but before I know it, the capsules are gone and I have to take out a mortgage to order more.

That’s why I think Prime Day is a great time to buy both Nespresso machines and Nespresso capsules, but not both. I’ll go into more detail below, but for now, let’s start with the coffee machine deals. By my count, Amazon has five coffee machines with special Prime Day deals, including:

Nespresso VertuoPlus with Milk Frother : $142.99 (was $219)
Nespresso Vertuo Plus : $110.47 (was $169.95)
Nespresso Vertuo : $131 (was $219)
Nespresso Vertuo Pop+ : $99.99 (was $139.95)
Nespresso Vertuo Lattissima : $349 (was $499)

If you already have a machine, you’ll also find some capsules on sale. Unfortunately, the discounts are currently only on capsules for the original Nespresso line (the smaller ones), and those models aren’t currently discounted. This is convenient for those like me who have an older machine that still works. But if you’re buying a new Vertuo machine, those capsules seem to be on sale at full price right now.

However, if you have an authentic machine, there are plenty of deals available. For example, this set of 50 capsules is 20% off, from $42.50 to $34. Looking for something different? Retailers like Walmart, Best Buy, and Home Depot are running Prime Day sales that are especially helpful if you don’t have an Amazon Prime subscription.

Walmart’s Prime Day sale starts at midnight on July 8 and includes discounts of up to 50% . It’s an especially great deal for those with a Walmart+ subscription.
Best Buy’s Prime Day sale , Black Friday in July, runs through Sunday, July 13, and is one of the best tech deals online . It’s an especially good deal for My Best Buy Plus or Total members.
Home Depot has extended its July 4 sale through at least July 9, competing with some of its own great deals . It’s a particularly good option if you’re looking for power tools, appliances, or outdoor gear.
