These Affordable Noise-Canceling Headphones Just Got Even Cheaper on Prime Day

Noise cancellation has become a must-have for me in my in-ear headphones lately. I live in New York City and love listening to podcasts on the go, and without noise cancellation I just can’t hear the music over the train noise. It should be a basic feature in my opinion by now, but it’s usually only available on more expensive models. Luckily, with Prime Day, noise cancellation is now available for much less.

Case in point: Nothing headphones. Nothing is best known as a fashion company that makes really fancy phones, but in my opinion, its most compelling product is its in-ear headphones. Available in a variety of price points, even the most expensive model is pretty affordable compared to other in-ear headphones, and all but the open-back models (where it doesn’t work) feature noise cancellation. What’s more, thanks to Prime Day sales, you’ll find options for less than the average New York City meal:

Take the Nothing CMF Buds 2a , for example: Currently $28, they’re the quintessential Nothing earbuds (the company’s passion for style is more evident in its other models). They feature active noise-canceling with four microphones, a 12.4mm driver, and an eight-hour battery. Stepping up to the CMF Buds Pro 2 ($47 in all colors except black) gets you slightly better noise-canceling, as well as six microphones and two drivers (11mm and 6mm). Overall, that should result in clearer sound.

Then there’s the Ear series: The flagship of the series, and generally the best Nothing earphones, are the Nothing Ear wireless earphones ($99). I have them, and the experience is strikingly similar to my AirPods Pro. The battery lasts a solid 40.5 hours (including the case), plus 24-bit high-resolution audio, dynamic EQ, and six-mic noise cancellation. The Ear(a) is the budget version of the series, with slightly weaker drivers and no dynamic EQ, but about two hours longer. Not bad for $69.

However, whichever model you choose, you’ll likely get a significant improvement over any non-noise-canceling headphone. I’ve always thought the name Nothing was a bit silly, but maybe it makes sense: you’ll only hear your music.
