New to Prime Day? We’ve got the lowdown on everything you need to know . Sales are accurate at the time of publication, but prices and inventory are always subject to change.
The Pixel 9 Pro Fold is an impressive smartphone among foldable devices . When folded, it disguises itself well as a regular smartphone, but when unfolded, it becomes an 8-inch tablet. It’s a handy option for some apps that need a larger screen. It’s usually quite expensive, but now the price is lower than we’ve seen.
This foldable phone originally retailed for an incredibly low $1,800. Considering that the Pixel phone and Pixel tablet could be purchased separately for less, most people had a hard time justifying that price. However, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold with 256GB of storage is now priced at just $1,384. That’s still a significant difference, but it’s significantly more affordable than before.
The 6.3-inch phone (when closed) comes unlocked and supports Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, and, of course, Google Fi. The rear camera has three lenses, and in our review, they produced some of the best photos you can take on a smartphone. Google has long been a leader in camera technology, so this is no surprise.
It also comes with the usual set of Google AI features, and includes a free year of Gemini Advanced ( now called Google AI Pro ). There are quite a few features that justify the extra level of AI , so if you’ve been hesitant about paying for generative AI (and there are plenty of situations that might make you skeptical ), this might be a good way to give it a try.
