Prime Day is a time when all sorts of brands you’ve never heard of offer crazy discounts, but there’s one brand that goes way beyond that — and that’s Amazon . Kindles and Echos are always heavily discounted, and that includes Amazon’s line of surprisingly good headphones.
Right now, Amazon’s newest Echo Buds with active noise cancellation (ANC) are on sale for just $44.99 . That’s a 68% discount off the $139.99 price tag.
Great pair of headphones for under $50
You might be surprised that Amazon makes good earbuds, but here we are: The Echo Buds earned a 4.0 ” Excellent ” rating in PCMag’s expert review. Amazon’s second-generation earbuds are smaller and feature shorter ear cups for more comfort. There’s a touch surface for basic controls, and you can adjust the equalizer in the app.
Since these are Echo Buds, they have Alexa built in. You can ask them questions and ask them to play music hands-free. In testing, PCMag found that the earbuds’ active noise cancellation “definitely does a little to suppress distracting noise, though it doesn’t reach the effectiveness of models like the $250 Apple AirPods Pro and the $280 Bose QuietComfort Earbuds — not that you’d expect that at that price.” Indeed.

If you don’t like the in-ear option or don’t want to use active noise cancellation, you can find even cheaper Echo Buds that are on sale now.
Amazon’s standard Echo Buds with True Wireless Bluetooth 5.2 technology (which also earned an Excellent rating from PCMag ) are just $24.99 , down from $49.99.
Looking for something different? Retailers like Walmart, Best Buy, and Home Depot are running Prime Day sales that are especially helpful if you don’t have an Amazon Prime subscription.
