This Eye-Friendly Tablet Is $100 Off on Prime Day

Prime Day 2025 runs from Tuesday, July 8 through Friday, July 11, and Lifehacker is sharing the best sales based on product reviews, comparisons, and price tracking tools.

The Android tablet market has really blossomed in the last few years, with high-quality options popping up from a variety of manufacturers across a wide range of price points and feature sets. After a long era of undisputed Apple dominance, we’ve now entered an era where consumers have real choice when it comes to tablet shopping. TCL’s NXTPAPER is a fantastic example of an iPad competitor that not only matches, but in some ways surpasses, its Cupertino counterpart. With its crisp, 2.4K, paper-thin display and impressive specs, it combines aesthetics with performance in an impressive package at a reasonable price.

Even better, it’s currently on sale for Prime Day, hitting its biggest discount ever at $303.99 . That includes a generous 20% off the top, but to take full advantage of the discount, you’ll need to enter discount code N9LSDOBF at checkout, which knocks another 5% off the $399.99 suggested retail price. The NXTPAPER is a reasonable value at around $400; at $100 less, it becomes almost irresistible.

At around $300, it’s hard to find a tablet with a competitive display that can also boast the NXTPAPER’s performance, especially if it’s larger than 14 inches. It’s powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 processor, which is powerful enough for the most demanding mobile games (though don’t expect cutting-edge frame rates), and comes with 8GB of RAM, plus the ability to add another 8GB via internal storage.

The NXTPAPER is a great tablet for browsing the web, playing games, and, thanks to its matte display that looks like (but isn’t) E Ink, reading your favorite Kindle books. But where it really shines is as a drawing tablet. It’s compatible with any universal capacitive stylus, but pairs best with the company’s signature T-PEN stylus, offering 4,096 levels of pressure that mimic the feel of a pen sliding across a notebook. Unfortunately, NXTPAPER doesn’t include the T-PEN in its Prime Day package, but you can buy it separately for about $40 if you don’t already have a stylus you like.
