As someone who values efficiency, I’ve never understood the point of putting up holiday lights every year and then taking them down a few months later. To add insult to injury, it means crawling all over your roof during the worst weather of the year. Meanwhile, you have to find a place to store the lights and then spend a day untangling them. It’s crazy, and permanent lights, which hit the consumer market a few years ago, solve this problem.
