If you currently pay a gardener or landscaper $40 to $75 per visit, a lawn mower can cut down on those visits. Cut out even one visit per month, and you’ll pay for the mower in less than two years. Sure, someone will still have to do some edging, and the mower won’t be trimming your bushes, but you won’t have to worry about your lawn all spring, summer, and fall. Even better, since the robot can mow as often as you like, your lawn won’t look scruffy between visits. It can always look like it’s just been mowed, if you’re a lawn fanatic. If you know someone who has trouble maintaining their yard due to age or mobility, this tool could solve that problem, too.

Even if you mow your own lawn (or have kids so you always have someone else to do your yard work), a robotic lawn mower will still save you the hassle. Even if you don’t mind mowing your lawn, having a robot do it for you will free up your time to do other gardening chores that you will probably enjoy more.
