New to Prime Day? We’ve got the lowdown on everything you need to know . Sales are accurate at the time of publication, but prices and inventory are always subject to change.
Last month, I reviewed the new 12-inch Microsoft Surface Pro 2025 and was impressed: It earned a 4.5 out of 5 star rating thanks to its combination of beautifully designed hardware, intuitive features, and the versatility that comes from a device that’s comfortable in both laptop and tablet mode. And now, the 12-inch Surface Pro is cheaper than ever on Amazon. It was just released this year, and its Prime Day price has dropped from $799.99 to $699.99 for the entry-level model, which comes with a Snapdragon X Plus processor, 16GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage. That should be more than enough for everyday computing.
The money you save can be spent on a Surface keyboard and stylus to get the most out of the Surface Pro. Windows 11 is now more adept than ever at switching between tablet mode and the laptop mode you get when you attach a keyboard and trackpad (or mouse). The quiet, fanless operation is another reason to rely on it as a mobile computer, and with an efficient Snapdragon processor inside, battery life is solid. You can expect the Surface Pro to last at least a full workday without needing a charger, and quite possibly two if you’re not doing anything too demanding. Whether you’re shopping for a laptop, tablet, or 2-in-1 like this one, the Surface Pro is a great buy.
