Right Now, Your Local Dicks Store May Have Pelotons on Sale for 50% Off

I love my Peloton Bike , but it cost me a pretty penny. However, at $1,445 , it’s worth it since I ride it every day .
I recently tested the Bike+ , a more advanced version that costs about $1,000 more. I like that model, too, but it’s hard to recommend something that expensive without acknowledging that the price will be out of reach for many people. Now, however, that may not be the case, thanks to a pair of deals at Dick’s Sporting Goods — one available in person, one online.
Select Dick’s stores are selling Peloton equipment for 50% off
Today, I saw a Reddit post from someone bragging about picking up a Tread, a $3,000 Peloton treadmill , for 50% off at their local Dick’s Sporting Goods store. For an advanced treadmill that lets you take running classes and do fitness at home, that’s a crazy good price. It even rivals the prices you’d expect to find on resale platforms like the recently launched Peloton — except the Dick’s treadmill is likely to be newer, since it was just put out there and tested in-store.
A Reddit user said their store employees told them Dick’s would no longer sell Peloton equipment in-store, so DSGs across the country are offering a discount. Others chimed in to say they called their local stores and were told the same thing: Peloton devices were 50% off.
Not wanting to be left out, I called all my local stores. One store told me they were “all out” of Peloton equipment, but couldn’t tell me if they were selling their floor models for 50% off or not. I called another store, and the employee said they hadn’t heard about the sale, but after putting me on hold, he came back on the line and said, “Oh, yeah, we have the Bike+ in stock and it’s 50% off.”
I’ve reached out to Dick’s press for more details on the offer, but while I wait for a response, it’s worth calling your local store to see what, if anything, they have on sale. I like the Bike and Bike+, and I’m eyeing the Tread, but the home fitness giant also makes the Row ($3,295), a rowing machine that’s the perfect complement to a proper personal gym.
Bike+ also offers 50% off online
I also poked around on Dick’s, where I saw that the Tread was sold out , but the regular Peloton Bike was $1,145 — a $300 discount. That’s not exactly half off, but it’s still a good price.
More importantly, the Bike+, which has improved sound, a larger screen, and the ability to automatically adjust resistance as you ride, sells online for $1,247 . That’s right: The Bike+ is 50% cheaper online at Dick’s , and only $100 more than the regular Bike.
And the savings continue: Even the Peloton cycling shoes you’ll actually need to ride the Bike and Bike+ are on sale from $145 to $99.98.
