What to Expect From Best Buy’s Black Friday July Sale

We’re approaching that time of year when every major retailer seems to throw a huge sale ahead of summer. Amazon’s Prime Day sale is the summer highlight that every other retailer seems to revolve around. Best Buy calls its Prime Day sale “Black Friday in July,” and it lasts for nearly a week. Here’s what to expect.
When is Best Buy’s Black Friday July sale?
Best Buy’s Summer Sale runs from July 7 to July 13. It also coincides with Prime Day (probably not a coincidence), which runs from July 8 to July 11. This is the first time the sale will last a week — previously, it lasted three days.
What other retailers are competing with Amazon’s Prime Day?
Following Amazon’s Prime Day announcement, Target and Best Buy have announced theirs. Target is hosting Circle Week, which runs from July 6 to 12, and Best Buy is hosting a Black Friday sale in July. Walmart hasn’t made an official announcement yet, but it’s certainly only a matter of time before it does.
Do you need to be a member to shop Best Buy sales?
Best Buy hasn’t released details on whether the sale will be exclusive to paid subscribers, but I’ve asked for more information and will update here. Based on previous sales, it’s likely that anyone who’s signed up for a free Best Buy membership will be able to participate.
What can I expect from the Best Buy Black Friday sale in July?
There’s no official list of Best Buy deals yet, but the email says shoppers can expect discounts on TVs, laptops, headphones, video games, e-bikes and “more.” It also says you’ll be able to find new deals every day during the sale, which is available in stores, on the Best Buy website and mobile app .
