How to Change Buzz Drone Electric Bike Settings

If you’ve purchased a Buzz Drone e-bike and are trying to set it up, you’ve probably been in for a confusing surprise: the settings menu is completely incomprehensible. I’ve put together this explanation so you can quickly understand how to change the settings on your Buzz Drone e-bike.

How to Access Buzz Drone Electric Bike Settings
To access the drone’s brain control menu, hold the “+” and “-” buttons on the controller for two seconds until the menu screen appears.
Once you are in the settings menu, you can change the settings using the “+” and “-” keys, and you can move between screens by pressing the “i” button, which will also save the settings you have entered. Here’s what each screen means:
-
tc: The first settings screen is “TC-n”. This is the trip distance indicator. Change “n” to “y” to clear the trip distance and start the mileage count from zero. Press “i” to save the setting and go to the next screen.
-
bl: The second settings screen should say “bl-1”. Bl stands for “backlight” or screen brightness. Use the “+” and “-” buttons to set the value from 1 to 3. Press “i” to save the setting and move to the next screen.
-
u: The next screen should say “u-1”. The “u” indicates the unit of measurement. The “u-1” setting will display speed and distance in miles. “u-2” will display kilometers.
At any time, you can press and hold the “i” key (for more than two seconds) to save all settings and exit the settings menu to the main display.
Can the top speed of the Buzz Drone Electric Bike be changed?
The three settings above represent all the easily accessible customization options on this e-bike. According to Buzz, the speed limit and other settings are “locked at the factory to ensure our e-bikes remain Class 2 compliant.” Sorry, speed demons and e-bike customizers: this is one of those “what you see is what you get” bikes.
What do the error codes on the Buzz Drone Electric Bike mean?
If you receive any of these numerical error codes on your Buzz Drone, here’s what the problem is:
