This Budget Outdoor Speaker System Is Surprisingly Good, and It’s Now Only $56

The gold standard for a portable speaker that’s worth the money is the Beats Pill , which you can easily find for $100. But if you’re looking for an even more affordable equivalent, it’s the Tribit StormBox Flow , which can currently be found for $55.99 (originally $79.99) after using a 30% off coupon.
I’ve had the Tribit StormBox Flow for a couple of months now, and what makes it special is what you get for the money. For $55.99, you won’t find another portable speaker with an IP67 rating for waterproofing, a well-designed companion app with a full equalizer, Bluetooth 5.3, and speakerphone functionality. You can read more about its feature set in PCMag’s full review .
Tritbit seems to be focused on making the best outdoor speakers and headphones it can while staying within a certain budget. Not all of its products are home runs (I’ve tried a couple of speakers), but the Tribit StormBox Flow was one of the few that really surprised me based on what it can do for the price.
Sound quality is acceptable for what you would expect from a portable speaker. If you play too loudly, you will hear some distortion. But as long as you play below 85%, it will not be noticeable. The full EQ is useful and, surprisingly, one of the best I have seen on a portable speaker. The bass punches above its weight, especially for such a portable speaker. If you buy more than one, you can link them together to create stereo sound. The 30 hours of battery life is also competitive with high-quality outdoor speakers.
