IOS 19 Will Make It Easier to Sign Into Public Wi-Fi Across Multiple Devices

This seems like a minor issue, I admit that. But you know when you check into a hotel and have to spend the next fifteen minutes connecting all your Apple devices to the network? Starting with your iPhone, then moving to iPad, then to Mac? Well, it looks like Apple understands your pain. According to a new report from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman , iOS 19 will include a new feature that will automatically connect multiple devices to the same public Wi-Fi network after you sign in with just one of them.
This is convenient for several reasons. Not only will this save you from having to switch between all your devices, but it will also reduce the amount of paperwork you need to fill out. When you log into Wi-Fi in a public place, such as a gym, coffee shop, hotel, or airport, you are often asked to fill out a web form. They usually ask for some information, but can also include captchas or even unique codes that limit the amount of data you can access on a per-device basis.
This new system means you will only need to complete the form once. Once you fill out the web form, your login and Wi-Fi data will automatically sync across all of your connected Apple devices, just like it currently does for a regular Wi-Fi network .
Of course, this is not 100% confirmed yet, and there are still a few questions that need to be answered. How will this work, for example, with Wi-Fi networks that limit the number of devices you can connect to them? However, Gurman has a credible track record of leaking software and hardware changes that are currently included in Apple’s roadmap, so we’ll likely see more about this in due course. iOS 19 is expected to be announced at WWDC in June and is rumored to have a pretty big redesign for iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
