This Amazon Soundbar and Subwoofer Combo Is on Sale for Almost $100 Off

Amazon’s new soundbar came out this year, and it’s aimed at people looking for a simple setup that’s both convenient and affordable. The Fire TV Plus 3.1 Channel Soundbar with Subwoofer currently costs $289.99 (originally $374.99), which is its lowest price ever, according to price trackers .

The 3.1 channel model comes with a soundbar that is a fully self-contained system, which means it can be a standalone soundbar with plenty of bass. The soundbar itself usually costs $250 (but is now $189.99), so for $40 you get an external subwoofer that gives you a movie theater experience with that powerful bass you can feel. The subwoofer is wireless because it connects to the soundbar, so you can place it anywhere in your living room. You just need to plug it into a power outlet and it will automatically pair with your soundbar. If you want a full 5.1-channel system with a rear speaker, you’ll have to cash out $414.99 (originally $489.99)—the upgrade isn’t worth the money in my opinion.

The soundbar can be wall-mounted and comes with a wall mounting kit, which is nice since the soundbar is quite bulky at 24 inches long. An HDMI cable is included in the box, which you’ll want to use to take advantage of Dolby Atmos and DTS:X audio support. It also allows you to use your TV remote to control the volume of the soundbar.

What are your thoughts so far?

The soundbar doesn’t have Wi-Fi or a companion app, so Amazon has cut costs. But if those things don’t matter to you, you’ll save a decent amount of money compared to purchasing other more expensive soundbars that do. You can still control most settings using the remote control.
