My Favorite Amazon Deal of the Day: Samsung Galaxy Watch 7

Apple users have an Apple Watch, but for Android users it’s not that simple. Depending on whether you have a Pixel or a Samsung phone, there are smartwatches that will work better with your phone. If you have a Samsung, there is no doubt that the Samsung Galaxy Watch is for you. For most people, that watch is the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 (and yes, it works with any Android phone). Right now you can get it for $289.99 (originally $379.99), its lowest price according to price trackers .

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 was released in 2024 and received an “excellent” review from PCMag for its incredibly accurate heart rate measurement, detailed sleep monitoring data tracking, AI-powered health insights, and overall ease of use.

You get a 44mm or 40mm Super AMOLED screen, the latter currently priced at $259.99 (originally $349.99). This version of LTE means you don’t rely on Wi-Fi when using the Internet and can take calls or listen to music independently of your phone.

The main downside to this smartwatch (and most Galaxy watches) is the short battery life. According to PCMag tests, it lasts about 22 hours, depending on usage (can last up to 28 hours if you’re not using GPS). This means you’ll likely have to charge it at night or during the day, making sleep tracking difficult to use. However, the watch charges quite quickly, reaching its maximum battery charge in 88 minutes.

What are your thoughts so far?

If you care about fitness and sleep tracking, it’s hard to beat Wear OS, especially at its current price. You can get heart rate monitor, blood oxygen monitor, pedometer, barometer, temperature sensor, gyroscope and others and they are accurate. However, if you can’t shake short battery life, consider the ONEPLUS Watch 2 for $245.34.
