These Anker Noise-Cancelling Headphones Are on Sale for $130 Right Now
If you’ve been eyeing noise-canceling headphones but don’t want to spend over $300 on the usual suspects, you might want to take a closer look at this deal on the Anker Soundcore Space One Pro . It’s currently on sale on Woot for $129.99 for the next three weeks or until sold out, which is $70 off the current price on Amazon . It’s new, comes with an 18-month manufacturer’s warranty from Anker, and ships free if you have Amazon Prime (otherwise shipping costs $6). Just keep in mind that Woot only ships to the contiguous 48 states, so if you’re in Alaska or Hawaii, this sale won’t apply to you.
The headphones themselves strike a good balance between comfort and portability. They are made from a mixture of plastic and metal and, despite their weight, do not feel flimsy. The earcups and headband are lined with faux leather and don’t pinch too hard. They fold inwards and the cups swivel horizontally, making them easy to pop into your bag, although you’ll have to be careful – there’s no hard case included, just a soft pouch. The headphones charge via USB-C and feature a 3.5mm jack for wired listening. Controls are shared between both earbuds and are customizable via the Soundcore app. You can customize the button functions, including switching between ANC, Transparency and Normal modes.
When it comes to performance, the Space One Pro holds its own. Dynamic drivers with a diameter of 40 mm reproduce sound in the range from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. That said, the sound out of the box is bass-heavy, but with some tweaks you can get a more neutral sound. The app-based equalizer is robust, with plenty of presets and manual audio settings. ANC isn’t quite on par with the Bose or Sony flagships, but it does a surprisingly good job of handling low droning sounds like airplane engines, as PCMag’s review notes (though higher-pitched voices or sudden loud noises can still get through). There’s also LDAC support, so if you’re using a compatible Android device, you’ll get better quality over Bluetooth. Battery life is also great – up to 55 hours without ANC and 40 with it on, which should give most people a week without needing to recharge.
