My Favorite Portable Projector Is Now $70 Off

I’ve tested portable projectors for many different use cases, but few, if any, come close to the full package offered by the XGIMI MoGo 3 Pro. This is my favorite of the bunch, and right now you can grab the XGIMI MoGo 3 Pro Portable Projector for $379 (down from $449.99) and get your choice of a Creative Optical Filter (regularly $49.99) or an XGIMI Carrying Case (regularly $69.99).

Alternatively, you can spend a little more and get the PowerBase and Projector Kit for $424.99 (originally $499.99). Whichever option you choose, according to price tracking tools , you’ll get an all-time low price.

The projector has two ports – USB and micro HDMI – so you can project from a laptop or phone, or simply mirror your devices since it uses Google TV OS. Plus, since the projector is smart, it already comes with typical apps like Netflix, YouTube, Amazon, and you can download others from the Google Play store. With 450 lumens of brightness and 1080p resolution, it’s best used in dark rooms, but can get by with some ambient light (that’s how I use it in the backyard).

What this projector really excels at is its auto keystone focusing feature. If you move it anywhere, it will be automatically corrected so the image looks its best no matter where you adjust it. It also features a powerful 5W Harman Kardon speaker that performs on par with the Echo Dot .

What are your thoughts so far?

One caveat: this projector doesn’t have an internal battery, which is a shame. You’ll need to use a portable charger , plug it into an outlet, or, more practical, spend an extra $45 to get the PowerBase Stand , which offers 2.5 hours of battery life. If you plan to use it mostly indoors, you can plug it into the wall and use one of the free items to save some money.
