Last summer, Samsung announced the Galaxy Watch Ultra, touting it as a competitor to the Apple Watch Ultra – with a focus on outdoor and workout features. And as Lifehacker deal expert Daniel Oropeza explains , the Galaxy Watch Ultra actually outperforms other watches in these areas.

The watch is designed to withstand harsh conditions. It is made of Grade 4 titanium and has an IP68 water and dust resistance rating. You can also take it to high altitudes (up to 9,000 meters) and it can withstand pressures of up to 10 atm (about 330 feet underwater). There is also a built-in siren that you can set to sound in case of an emergency. And because this watch uses LTE, you don’t rely on Wi-Fi or Bluetooth for satellite signal. And yes, you can receive calls on it. Another huge benefit: battery life. If you don’t use any power-saving modes, it will last 60 hours, but if you’re conservative, it can go up to 100 hours.

However, unless you’re looking for a rugged (read: large) smartwatch, the biggest downside is that the Galaxy Ultra only comes in one size: 47mm. The 1.47-inch Super AMOLED display is brighter than previous Samsung AMOLED smartwatches.
