Oura Ring Chargers Are Now Almost Half Off
One of my biggest gripes with the Oura ring platform is the temporary relief provided by Amazon’s spring sale . Generation 4 Ring Chargers (the newest model) are available today for $35.40 , so you can get a spare for almost half the regular price.
And yes, the regular price for the Oura charger is a whopping $59. The old 3rd generation chargers will not fit the new 4th generation rings, and the chargers are also sized : if you have a size 8 ring, you will need a size 8 charger. There are no third-party chargers for Gen 4 rings, so official Oura devices are your only option. Hence my complaints about the price.
But now, at $35.40? It’s still not cheap , but it’s much better than full price. Your ring comes with one charger, but it’s helpful to have a spare so you can keep one on your desk and another on your nightstand, or keep an extra one in your travel drawer . The Oura Ring lasts most of the week on a single charge—up to eight days, according to the company, although I found that I only had about five days between charges with the blood oxygen sensor on. This also takes into account charging the ring when the battery level drops to 20%, which is the app’s recommendation to make sure it doesn’t run out of charge while you sleep.
By the way, the fourth generation Oura ring has a good reason not to fit older chargers – the old rings had three protrusions for sensors on the inside, and the generation 4 has finally managed to fit its technology into a smooth interior that fits like a regular ring.
