What’s New on Disney+ in April 2025

Disney+ will debut second seasons of two major series in April. The second installment in Lucasfilm’s Emmy-nominated thriller Andor , a prequel to Rogue One set five years earlier, tells the origin story of Rebel spy Cassian Andor and the formation of the Rebel Alliance. Diego Luna reprises his role from the film and the first season of the series. Three episodes are set to premiere at 6:00 pm PT on April 22, with additional episodes airing weekly on Tuesdays through mid-May.

Also on the April schedule is the second season of Doctor Who . Ncuti Gatwa plays the Doctor who tries to bring Belinda Chandra (played by Varada Sethu) back to Earth. Millie Gibson plays Ruby Sunday and Alan Cumming makes a guest appearance. Following the premiere on Saturday, April 12, new episodes will be released weekly.

Other content premiering in April includes the second season of Light & Magic (April 18), a three-part docuseries about Lucasfilm visual effects company Industrial Light & Magic, and the Disney+ original documentary Pets (April 11), directed by Bryce Dallas Howard.

Disney+ will also wrap up weekly episodes of Marvel Television’s Daredevil: Born Again (Tuesday through April 15) and release the final two installments of the six-part NatGeo docuseries David Blaine Isn’t Trying (April 7), which premiered last month.

Disney Plus series with new episodes weekly in April 2025.

  • Andor (Season 2) – Disney+ Original, new episodes every Tuesday starting April 22.

  • Marvel Television’s Daredevil: Born Again – new episodes every Tuesday through April 15.

  • Doctor Who (Season 2) – new episodes on Saturdays starting April 12th.

Disney+ will also stream SC+ , a SportsCenter show exclusive to the platform, every weekday at 6 a.m. PT and on weekend mornings. Each stream will be available for 24 hours.

The films and full series/seasons will be released on Disney Plus in April 2025.

Hulu + ESPN content coming to Disney+ in April 2025

As in previous months, Disney+ subscribers will also have access to select content from Hulu and ESPN in March, including live PGA Tour and NWSL tournaments, the NCAA Women’s Gymnastics Championships and select NHL games. Here are a few other games coming to Disney+:
