This Highly-Rated 75-Inch 4K ULED TV Is Now Under $500
The Hisense 75U6H ULED TV has now dropped from $698 to $488, making it a solid budget choice for those who want the big screen experience without spending over a thousand dollars (or even half a thousand dollars).
This 75-inch 4K TV, a PCMag Editor’s Choice, delivers vibrant, vibrant colors with quantum dot technology and local dimming backlighting that dramatically improves the quality of HDR content. However, its contrast isn’t as deep as more expensive models, and while colors are vibrant, blacks can look a little washed out. It supports Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG, ensuring compatibility with most modern streaming content. However, this is a 60Hz panel, which means movement may not be as smooth as on higher-end models – something gamers may notice. It includes VRR (variable refresh rate), but without AMD FreeSync or Nvidia G-Sync, serious gamers may want to look elsewhere. Additionally, its input lag is 11.1ms, which is acceptable for casual gaming but not ideal for fast-paced competitive games, PCMag’s review noted.
In terms of streaming and smart features, this TV runs on Google TV, which means a user-friendly interface and access to all major streaming services such as Netflix, Disney+, Apple TV, HBO Max and more. It supports Google Assistant hands-free, allowing you to control your TV or smart home devices by simply saying, “Hey Google.” If you’re an Apple user, AirPlay 2 is also supported, so you can stream straight from your iPhone or Mac. The TV remote is fairly standard, with a large circular navigation pad, volume and channel controls, and dedicated buttons for streaming services such as YouTube, Prime Video and Netflix. The remote also has a built-in microphone so you can use voice commands without yelling at the TV. The TV has four HDMI ports (one with eARC ), two USB ports, an Ethernet port, an optical audio output, and multiple 3.5mm jacks for headphones and other connections. It also features a cable tuner, although it does not support ATSC 3.0 . For installation, you can place it on a table with metal legs or mount it on the wall using VESA-compatible screws.
