This 75-Inch LG Smart TV Retails for $450.
TV technology has improved significantly in recent years, with high-end buyers focusing on subtle differences such as the number of local dimming zones. But if all you want is a big screen with decent smart features, good graphics, and a low price, the 75-inch LG UR9000 is a great option.
This set costs $449.99 (originally $1,099.99) on Woot, which is 59% off and the lowest price it has reached according to price trackers . (Remember that Woot only ships to the 48 contiguous US states. If you have Amazon Prime, you get free shipping; otherwise it costs $6.)
The LG UR9000 didn’t win any awards when it launched in 2023 as a slightly higher-end budget 4K phone. It’s not very bright compared to more expensive models: 516 nits in SDR and 610 nits in HDR, which makes watching HDR movies in direct sunlight or in very bright rooms a less pleasant experience. LG has also cut costs on contrast and local dimming features.
However, since it’s an IPS panel, viewing angles are excellent, which is a plus if you’re planning on placing this massive TV in your living room. It also handles reflections from lamps or light sources well. It’s also a good option as a gaming TV or large computer monitor, as it has low input lag of 10.4ms at 1080p at 60Hz.
If size isn’t as important to you as some of the features this TV doesn’t have, you can spend $50 more for the 65-inch Hisense U6 , which is much better, according to PCMag’s review. But if you love playing games, love watching sports, and want a giant 75-inch screen at a low price, the UR9000 will serve you well.
