New IPads and IPad Airs Are Already Discounted Before They’re Released
Apple will release new MacBooks and iPads tomorrow, which is why you’re seeing discounts on older MacBooks and iPads. Two iPads will be released tomorrow: the iPad Air M3 , which you can pre-order now for $559 (originally $599) for the 11-inch version, or the 11th generation iPad for $329 (originally $349) for the 11-inch version or $749 (originally $799) for the larger 13-inch version . Impressive by Apple standards, considering they haven’t even been released yet. However, this may be because older versions may be more beneficial for you.
Yes, it’s always nice to get a shiny new toy, but as Jake Peterson, senior technology editor at Lifehacker, explains, a new iPad Air might not be worth it when you can get a very capable iPad Air M2 for a lower price. Most people can justify using an M3 chip over an M2 chip in a laptop where there is more multitasking, heavier applications and speed is more important. But if you don’t want to do those things on a tablet, the difference between the speed of the M2 and M3 chips may not be worth the money to you .
If you can wait until the new iPads are released on March 12 to make a purchase, it will be the smartest decision since the iPad M2 will likely drop in price and be a better deal than the new iPad Air (if you can find the iPad M2 in stock). While Apple may not sell older iPads under new terms, Amazon and Best Buy will.
However, if money is no object and you want the best iPads, the 11th generation iPad and iPad Air M3 are your best options.
